Na contemporaneidade, essas mulheres estão escrevendo suas próprias narrativas, que ressignificam representações estereotipadas e preconceituosas de seus povos, a partir de uma produção literária inovadora e resiliente, buscando dar voz, através da literatura, a sujeitos e histórias ignorados por uma sociedade repleta de preconceitos de raça e gênero. A escritora afro-americana Barbara Chase-Riboud, através da metaficção historiográfica, resgata personagens negras do sexo feminino apagadas pela historiografia tradicional, num trabalho que desafia noções de forma, conteúdo, discurso e poder. Ao trazer o tema da violência através das vozes narrativas de Sally Hemings, Harriet Petit e Sarah Baartman, a autora não apenas traz novas representações dessas mulheres, como o faz a partir de vozes narrativas que empoderam sujeitos marginalizados e excluídos. A representação da violência sexual, simbólica, de gênero e raça é denunciada em narrativas complexas, a serem analisadas através dos estudos de gênero e raça, principalmente dos feminismos negros e da metaficção historiográfica. / The intellectual production of Black women has been silenced and invisibilized in traditional literature. In the contemporaneity, these women are writing their own narratives, giving new meanings to stereotyped and biased representations of their people, from an innovative and resilient literary production, aiming at giving voice, through literature, to individuals who have been ignored by a society full of gender and race prejudices. The Afro-American writer Barbara Chase-Riboud, through historiografic metafiction, recovers Black female characters erased by traditional historiography, in a work that challenges notions of form, content, discourse and power. When bringing the theme of violence through the narrative voices of Sally Hemings, Harriet Petit and Sarah Baartman, the author not only brings new representations of these women, but does so from narrative voices that empower marginalized and excluded individuals. The representation of sexual, symbolic, gender and race violence is reported in complex narratives, to be analyzed through gender and race studies, mainly the black feminisms, and through historiographic metafiction.
