Den här rapporten beskriver hur ett modulbaserat sittmöbelsystem, Arcus, utvecklats genom en designprocess. Arbete har utgått ifrån en brief från företaget Karl Andersson & Söner och haft för avsikt att skapa en produkt som kan tas upp i produktion av företaget och öka dessförsäljning. Systemet är helt byggt i trä, ett förnyelsebart material som har flera positiva effekter på oss människor och våra levnadsmiljöer. Det består av soff-och bänkmoduler som ansluts till varandra. Systemet har raka och kurvade 45⁰och 90⁰ moduler. De kurvade modulerna finns i konkavt eller konvext utförande. De olika modulerna ger möjlighet att anpassa möblering för behoven i olika rum, skapa former och styra hur vi rör oss och interagerar. / This report describes how a module-based seating system, Arcus, was developed through a design process. Work has been based on a brief from the company Karl Andersson & Söner and intended to create a product that could be included in the production of the company and increase its sales. The system is entirely built of wood, a renewable material that has several positive effects on humans and our living environments. It consists of sofa and bench modules that can be connected to each other. The system has straight and curved 45⁰ and 90⁰ modules. The curved modules are available in concave or convex design. The different modules provide the opportunity to customize furniture for the needs of different rooms, create shapes and control how we move and interact.
