Potíže bank v České republice v letech 1993-2003 / Difficulties of banks in the Czech Republic in the years1993-2003

Mikšová, Lucie January 2009 (has links)
At the end of the 20th century and at the beginning of the 21st century, most banks in the Czech Republic got into trouble. Some banks overcome this problems, but others have to cease their activities and lost their banking license. Difficulties of banks varied from case to case, but there were some common attributes. The first objective of this work is to find these common attributes. The second objective of this work is to identify "culprits" who were most involved in the difficulties of banks in the Czech Republic in the years 1993-2003. Method of incomplete induction will be used in this work. First of all, from all banks, which had difficulties in the years 1993-2003, I selected a sample of ten banks. Then for each bank I will detect the main causes of its problems. Subsequently, through a comparative method, I will determine the most frequent causes of the problems of banks in the years 1993-2003. To each cause I will assign a group of persons or institutions that contributed to its emergence. Finally, according to frequency of institutions and groups, I will identify the main "culprits", who were most involved in the difficulties of banks in the years 1993-2003. This work will be based primarily on the sources available in the library of University of Economics, the Library of the Czech National Bank and specialized literature, which deals with this issue.

Morfologie dolní čelisti s ohledem na demografickou strukturu raně středověkého pohřebiště Mikulčice / Morphology of the mandible with regard to the demographic structure of the early medieval burial area Mikulčice

Thon, Tomáš January 2020 (has links)
This Master's thesis focuses on the influence of socioeconomic status on the morphology of the mandible of individuals from the early medieval burial area in Mikulčice. This hillfort was an important center of power of the Great Moravian Empire with a stratified society. This work compares 2 different approaches on how to divide the inhabitants. The first of them is the division of individuals according to the location of graves into individuals from the castle, sub-castle, and hinterland. The second approach is the division of individuals according to the richness of grave equipment into individuals with rich and poor grave equipment. A different social status is associated mainly with different diets. Therefore, the attachments of the masticatory muscles are the most affected areas. A total of 132 individuals (59 males and 73 females) were analyzed. The material was evaluated by methods of geometric morphometrics. The used methods were CDP DCA, GPA, two-sample t-test, PCA, MANOVA, and SVM. Sexual dimorphism was observed in all sub-groups of the Mikulčice population. Men have larger mandibles with rami wider apart. The biggest differences are between individuals from the castle, the smallest between individuals with rich grave equipment. The distribution of individuals based on the location of...

Analýza činnosti Allgemeine-SS v Dolních Rakousích v letech 1932 - 1945 / Analysis of the activities of Allgemeine-SS in Lower Austria in the years 1932 - 1945

Zumr, Jan January 2017 (has links)
The dissertation deals with the research of a role played by the SS, respectively Allgemeine-SS, in Lower Austria and Reichsgau Lower Danube since its creation in the early 1930s to the end of the Second World War. The dissertation's purpose is to analyse SS activities, structure and staff. Its history showed a number of identical features with the history of the SS in other Austrian Bundesländer and in Germany itself, but at the same time local specifics appeared. In Lower Austria / Lower Danube, the SS had the second highest or even the highest number of members in entire Austria, depending on a particular year. However, conversion to per capita it was exactly the opposite. In comparison with the situation in "the old empire", the SS also showed below average numbers of SS men. This fact consisted in geographic character and population social structure of the country whose predominantly Catholic-conservative inhabitants living in the lowland countryside showed greater resistance to entry into the SS than Evangelicals or Catholics living in the mountains. The situation was specific in South Moravia and the south-eastern corner of Bohemia which were connected to Lower Danube in October 1938. There were, as in the entire former Czechoslovak borderlands, a number of Allgemeine-SS members per capita...

Rekonstrukce zdraví a životního stylu jedinců pohřbených v sídlištních jamách a hrobech starší a střední doby bronzové na základě patologických znaků na kostře / Health reconstruction of individuals buried in settlements and graves in Early Bronze Age based on pathological traces on skeletons

Pankowská, Anna January 2014 (has links)
An increase in the diversity of Early Bronze Age (EBA) burial practices is well documented in central and southern Moravia between 2200-1500 BC. Apart from scarce cremations and pithoi burials, two more frequent parallel burial types appear. One is the standard burials in cemeteries, the other burials in settlement pits, the latter considered a deviation until recently. Thanks to recent excavations and new quantification procedures, however, abundance of settlement burials as well as uniformity and predictability of body deposition and grave equipment in pit burials has been shown. My intention is to show the existence of two parallel burial rites on the basis of bioarchaeological and archaeological evidence. I focus on the reconstruction of health and social status of individuals buried in settlement pits and graves. I observe the amount of demographic variability, diseases and trauma within each group. I suppose the distribution of diseases according to age, sex and archaeological record will be similar within each of the groups. As a result, we may speak about two equivalent burial practices. If deviations are encountered within settlement pits, however, we should speak about deviations or burials determined for a minority and homogeneous segment of population. Skeletons originate in two...
