Primary goal of my thesis is managerial recommendation, which should ease the management decision making process whether AutoCont would add Private cloud (SaaS) option of project management software in its service portfolio. Magistriniame darbe išanalizuoti projektų valdymo metodai ir algoritmai, išnagrinėti darbų kalendorinio grafiko sudarymo principai, sukurtas statybos darbų grupavimo ir darbo laiko paskaičiavimo konceptualus modelis ir išreikštiniai algoritmai dviems grupavimo scenarijams. Išvestos formulės darbo kiekiui sąmatoje, objekte ir komplekse apskaičiuoti. Pasitelkus projektų valdymo teoriją, sukurtas MS Project COM programinis priedas SDKG, leidžiantis statybos vadovui modeliuoti statomo objekto kalendorinį darbų grafiką. COM priedo programavimo darbai atlikti Microsoft Visual Studio Profesional 2005 aplinkoje, pasinaudojus Visual Basic 2005 programavimo galimybėmis. Atlikti duomenų iš sąmatos nuskaitymo, išsaugojimo, projekto duomenų įkėlimo, grafiko nubrėžimo laikų priklausomybės nuo sąmatos apimties tyrimai. Išvesta formulė minimalaus pelės paspaudimų skaičiaus radimui, priklausomai nuo darbų ir grupių skaičiaus. Darbo rezultatai įdiegti statybos įmonėse UAB “Armobetas” ir UAB “Merko statyba”. / Project management methods and algorithms have been analysed in this master paper. Schedule making principles have been considered. Construction work grouping and work time conceptual model and explicit algorithms for two grouping scenarios have been developed. Using project management theory, MS Project COM add-in called SDKG has been developed. This add-in allows the construction supervisor to model the schedule of the object under construction. The add-in has been developed in MS Visual Stuodio 2005 environment using Visual Basic 2005. An investigation to study data retrieval from an estimate, saving, project data deploying and plotting time dependencies on the estimate volume has been carried out. A formula to find the minimal number of mouse clicks depending on the number of works and groups has been derived. The results obtained have been applied in construction companies UAB „Armobetas“ and UAB „Merko statyba“.

This dissertation focuses on the management of a construction project from both a theoretical and practical perspective. The theoretical part deals with project management and specifficaly a contractor’s preparation ahead of the construction project, namely producing the tender and pre-production considerations. The practical part covers an analysis of contract’s management of a concrete project.

Cílem této diplomové práce je vytvoření reálného projektu s pomocí využití dvou softwarových produktů a jejich následné porovnání za použití metod vícekriteriálního hodnocení variant. Prvním softwarovým produktem je Microsoft Project. Tato aplikace je přímo určena pro plánování a řízení projektů a pro komunikaci s projektovým týmem. Druhým produktem je aplikace Microsoft Dynamics AX a v ní modul Projekt. Modul je určen pro řízení projektů, správu zdrojů, vytváření odhadů a prognóz, sledování rozpočtů a reálných výdajů na konkrétní projekt či časové plánování. Aplikace MS Dynamics AX je řešením pro plánování a řízení firemních zdrojů (ERP) a e-business, stejně tak i pro řízení vztahů se zákazníky, řízení výroby, řízení dodavatelského řetězce, fungování elektronického obchodu nebo finančního řízení.

The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is devoted to project management and foundations of information systems and information technology. The practical part of this thesis is a case study about an already closed project which handles implementation of a new information system in LeasePlan Czech Republic, Ltd. The main outcome of the case study is a comparison of project processes with the processes of the PRINCE2 methodology. The partial aim of the study is to identify the main threats that were found in the project. The outcome of this thesis is to propose recommendations and templates for the selected documents that can help manage and improve future projects in the company.

Due to the constantly growing interest of the companies in project management, the demand on the available information systems increased. In the past, many IT companies implemented systems for managing projects, but almost 90% of them used only a limited number of available modules. For this reason, the demand for optimization of information systems increased. One of the key requirement was optimization of management of personnel working on the project in order to assure the efficiency which leads to reduction of the company's costs. Now, the companies, and not only those operating in IT area, require that the information system systems that would facilitate the best possible overview of the utilization and availability of human resources working on particular project.
