We seek to answer it in two ways. First, we mobilized the theoretical framework offered by Ernst Bloch establishing privileged dialogue with Axel Honneth and, from this, we produced a reflection about the importance of hope for the mobilization and motivation of the subjects involved in social movements, manifestations, collective actions, in summary, collective political actions with a view to changing the circumstances lived by the subjects, regardless of the size of the change demanded. Second, through photographic records of the multitude manifestations erupted on the streets of Porto Alegre in 2013, we sought to analyze in what ways the hope crystallized in the factual reality motivating the protesters, structuring the manifestations and generating impacts on the institutionality. To do this, we use the following Blochian concepts: expectant affections, diurnal dreams, concrete utopias, front and novum.

No. of bitstreams: 1 DIS_?MERSON DOS SANTOS PIROLA.pdf: 1106657 bytes, checksum: 472b0fbd8b1c3fc9eda8ac9ae4fa4763 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2018-03-28 / Conselho Nacional de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento Cient?fico e Tecnol?gico - CNPq / The present work focuses on problematizing the concept of multitude, developed by the philosophers Antonio Negri and Michael Hardt, focusing the investigation in its constitution as a concept of social class in a Marxist sense. For this, since a class thought has to deal with the problematic of the "subject", we take as a starting point the criticisms made, especially by Althusser, to the modern notion of the Subject and to the humanism thought, seeking an endeavor that consists in thinking what would be an anti and post-humanist social class. Negri claims that his work uses the Marxian method, although he is more influenced by Foucault and Deleuze & Guattari than by the Marxist orthodoxy as such, which already indicates his precautions against the subject and humanism, which doesn?t prevents him, however, from insisting on a Marxism that prays for the space of subjectivity. In this way he proposes an update of class discourse using what he claims to be the Marxian method for criticizing the capitalist mode of production and, in the face of the characteristics of a transformed capitalism, rescues or creates new concepts for it ? such as multitude, Empire, immaterial labor, common, biopolitics and real subsumption. The present research, therefore, tries to analyze Negri?s work in order to verify how the concepts are articulated in a movement of thought that differs from the object of criticism of the anti and the post-humanist thought, although Negri declares himself as a humanist ? a humanism of a different kind, naturally.

Crowdworkers should be encouraged to play an important role in the online communities by being active members, but they face difficulties when attempting to participate. For this reason, we investigated the difficulties that crowdworkers face in crowdsourcing software development platforms. We conducted empirical studies relying on multiple data sources and research methods including literature review, peer review, field study, and procedures of grounded theory. We observed that crowdworkers face many barriers ? related to competence, collaboration, and time management ? when making their contributions in software crowdsourcing development, which can result in dropouts. Based on the identified barriers, literature review and, crowdworkers suggestions, we list 13 recommendations for participants as potential solutions to overcome such barriers. The recommendations were evaluated by surveying software crowdsourcing experts. The main contributions of this dissertation are a) empirical identification of barriers faced by crowdsourcing software development crowdworkers; and b) recommendations on how to minimize the barriers. We conclude that the crowdworkers need competency and an efficient time management effort to take part collaboratively in tasks of the Competition-Based Crowdsourcing Software Development of the Topcoder platform.

Most of the techniques available nowadays for crowd simulation are focused on a specific situation, e.g. evacuation in hazardous events. Very few of them consider the cultural and personality aspects present in a society to determine the behavior of agents. Therefore, this work aims to build a framework able to deal with different cultural and personality theories as input, and translate them into a group parametrization, which is going to determine the behavior of groups and crowds in virtual environments. Also, we include in BioCrowds a comfort response for agents, in terms of density and thermal characteristics of the environment. Results indicate that the cultural/psychological mappings seem promising, since agents were able to perform as intended. Additionally, agents were able to react due to thermal and density comfort, improving their ability to react to environmental changes.
