Previous issue date: 2016-07-29 / A presente pesquisa analisa o romance A Fortaleza dos Vencidos (2009), de Nei Leandro de Castro, investigando a constru??o da mem?ria na narrativa como recorr?ncia da literatura de testemunho, visto que o romance traz ? sua express?o o contexto social e pol?tico do per?odo da Ditadura Militar. Trata-se de observar, especificamente, a mem?ria inscrita na obra e como a voz que constr?i essa mem?ria traz uma representa??o liter?ria da hist?ria vivida no referido contexto, que, ante o processo de esquecimento imposto, surge para reavivar a mem?ria do leitor e revisitar de forma cr?tica a hist?ria social do pa?s. Na narrativa de Nei Leandro de Castro, as personagens encontram-se representadas por pessoas comuns que sofreram as torturas do Per?odo de Chumbo, e, a partir das a??es encadeadas, falam das lembran?as dos momentos vividos; ? sobre esse aspecto que este trabalho se det?m. ? necess?rio ressaltar ainda que o presente trabalho compreende, de forma primordial, o contexto social e hist?rico no qual a obra est? inserida, promovendo di?logos entre ambos, a fim de perceber o modo como se estabelece, na fic??o do autor estudado, a articula??o entre o romance e a hist?ria, a literatura e a vida social. Para discutir e estabelecer rela??es do texto liter?rio com a realidade hist?rica buscou-se apoio no estudo de Daniel Aar?o Reis, presente no livro Ditadura e Democracia no Brasil (2014), como tamb?m em S?rgio Luiz Bezerra Trindade e suas pesquisas sobre a hist?ria do Rio Grande do Norte. No que concerne ? discuss?o acerca da mem?ria manifesta nesta an?lise, contamos com a contribui??o de Ecl?a Bosi (2009), M?rcio Seligmann-Silva (2003) e Brand?o (2008), al?m do aporte te?rico de Philippe Lejeune (2008) e Jacques Le Goff (1990). A pesquisa constatou que o romance estudado, articulando-se ? hist?ria social do pa?s, no que se refere mais especificamente ao contexto da Ditadura Militar, retrata tra?os autobiogr?ficos de Nei Leandro de Castro, como tamb?m o lado memorial?stico da obra atrav?s da ressignifica??o das mem?rias do autor relacionadas ao per?odo. / The present research analyzes Nei Leandro de Castro's novel A Fortaleza dos Vencidos (2009) in order to investigate the construction of memory in the narrative as a recurrence of witness literature since the novel brings up social and political context of the period of the Military dictatorship. It is about observing, specifically, the memory inscribed in the literary work and how the voice that builds this memory brings up a literary representation of the history lived in that context, that, before the process of imposed forgetfulness, comes up to revive the memory of the reader and to revisit the social history of the country in a critical way. In the narrative of Nei Leandro de Castro, the characters are represented by ordinary people who suffered the tortures in the Years of Lead (Per?odo de Chumbo), and, from a series of connected actions, they speak of the memories of their past; It is this aspect that this work is about. It is necessary to emphasize that the present work encompasses primarily the social and historical context in which the work is inserted, promoting dialogues between both, in order to perceive the way in which, in the author?s fiction, the articulation between the novel and the history, the literature and the social life. In order to discuss and establish relations between the literary text and historical reality, we sought theoretical support in the study of Daniel Aar?o Reis though his book Ditadura e Democracia no Brazil (2014) as well as in S?rgio Luiz Bezerra Trindade through his researches on the history of Rio Grande do Norte. Regading the discussion about the memory inserted in this analysis, we have the contribution of ?cl?a Bosi (2009), M?rcio Seligmann-Silva (2003) and Brand?o (2008), as well as the theoretical contribution of Philippe Lejeune (2008) and Jacques Le Goff 1990). The research found that the studied novel, articulated with the social history of the country, more specifically with the context of the Military Dictatorship, portrays autobiographical features of Nei Leandro de Castro as well as the memorialistic side of the literary work through resignification of the author's memories related to that period.
