Design of Coupling Circuit for Power Line Communication and Characterization of Residential Appliance NoiseLee, Gui-Yun 28 July 2010 (has links)
In this thesis, we studied the narrowband power line communication system. This system mainly utilizes the 60Hz power line as the medium to transmit network signals. In the beginning, we studied the power line channel characteristics and the coupling circuit structure, that was used to couple the signal to the power line. Impedance mismatch and signal attenuation may occur when the loading in the power line network changes. To this end we added a driver to the coupling circuit to reduce the output impedance, and hence enhance signal magnitude. In addition, we add the cross-phase coupling circuit with bandpass filter characteristics at the 220V socket. It was found that our cross-phase coupling circuit was able to improve the performance of the power line communication system when cross-phase transmission took place. Finally, we simulated the indoor power line network environment, measured several kinds of residential appliance noise and analyzed the influence on the power line communication system of the appliance noise.

The power line grid is used for data transmission by means of the broad band powerline communication systems (BPLC) The main advantage of this technology consists in providing an existing infrastructure of wires and wall sockets that are easy to access throughout a building and offering physical data rates comparable with other existing communication technologies such as Wi-Fi. Nevertheless, the power line grid complexity, the various connected household appliances and the housing electromagnetic environment, impact the PLC transmission performances. As results the housing environment is not a controllable medium. The objective of the current thesis is to study the electromagnetic environment of the Indoor power line network, and to model the potential impacts of both the power line grid topology and the household devices on the PLC physical layer. The existing modeling approaches require a deduction of theirs parameters from the measurements and cannot be generally applied. We propose a new model based on circuitry approach. Its main interest consists in the simplicity of the simulation tool of power line grid which is based on series symmetric SPICE circuit integrated to SPICE library. To this aim, the characterization of the power cable, of the electrical accessories and household devices is necessary. The impedance of powered household devices is measured according to simple measurement protocol. The proposed model takes into account the variation of the whole primary parameters of the electrical cable as function of frequency. An experimental characterizationof the so called PLC READY test bench was carried out in terms of noise, impedance and insertion loss. The radiated electromagnetic field during a PLC communication is measured.

MARKETING ZAMĚŘENÝ NA PACIENTY S FENYLKETONURIÍ (PKU) / Marketing focused on patients with phenylketonuria (PKU)Lifková, Hana January 2013 (has links)
The master's thesis deals with inherited metabolic disorder phenylketonuria from a marketing point of view. The theoretical basis of this thesis points out to differences between the marketing mix in the pharmaceutical industry and other industries. Analysis of marketing mix of Nutricia company in relation to patients with phenylketonuria is based on these facts. Secondary and primary data are used in this master's thesis. There were several research methods used to get the information, such comparison and telephone interviews. The work provides insights and recommendations in relation to the potential competitive advantages of the Nutricia company, which can help to maintain its position as market leader in the future. Attention is mostly paid to project such Home Deliveery and on-line communication.

CSR aktivity vybranej značky / CSR activities of the chosen brandMarečková, Barbora January 2016 (has links)
The diploma thesis is focused on the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activities and evaluates the CSV (Creating Shared Value) activities of the brand producing Slovak cheese and cheese specialties. The aim is to analyse and evaluate them properly, propose the right communication and future goals, that are in line with the current ones. The first part is centred on the description of CSR concept, its establishment, history in the world and in the Czech Republic. The concept of CSV is described next. This is followed by the trends in the communication of CSR on social media and other on-line media. The second part is mostly about the particular brand, its history and main attributes. Already existing activities are analysed, their communication is proposed together with the activities, that should supplement the contemporary ones in the future.

Analýza on-line komunikačního mixu společnosti Danone a návrh na jeho zefektivnění. / Analysis of on-line communication mix of Danone Czech Republic and a proposal to its effectivenessHodboď, Radek January 2012 (has links)
Diploma thesis studies the topic of on-line communication as a part of communication mix and marketing mix. It's closely connected with rapid technological development. It's therefore necessary to monitor trends, which are also part of the thesis. Based on the theoretical backgound, analysis of Czech internet and advertising environment and research of Czech firm's approach to on-line communication, author deals with the importance of on-line forms in comparison to other parts of communication mix. The outputs of the above are applied in the analysis of FMCG producer's on-line communication mix and competitive activities also. These findings are further formulated in recommendations for more effective on-line communication of analysed company and also serves to determine the new strategy.

Detekcia prechodu nulou pre účely synchronizácie hodín v prostredí PLC komunikácie / Zero-Cross Detection for Time Synchronization in the Environment of PLC CommunicationŠťastný, Ladislav January 2018 (has links)
The doctoral thesis proposes a synchronization event detection method suitable for establishing a common time base across devices using power-line communication. The technique facilitates the creation of a synchronization procedure for smart grid terminal devices, thus bringing to the low-voltage segment new functionalities already known from the higher voltage levels of the distribution network. High-precision, zero-cross line voltage detection was employed as the synchronization event. The use of the PLL (phase-locked loop) was considered and analyzed as a potentially applicable option; however, such a solution proved to be insufficiently robust against interference. Further, an FFT-based approach was designed and reviewed. The technique performs zero-cross detection, but only for the fundamental harmonic component that remains the same across the entire network. The influence of incoherent sampling on the FFT, too, was tested during the development of the method; in this context, coherent sampling was found to constitute an essential prerequisite for accurate detection as it allows us to eliminate the spectral leakage error. The impact of an AD converter on the detection accuracy was also evaluated. The proposed approach ensures the accuracy required for all common measurements and operations to improve the production, distribution, and consumption of electricity through smart grids.
