Sob a perspectiva da semiótica greimasiana e com base nas contribuições de Jacques Fontanille para o estudo das práticas semióticas, foi possível compreender: a sintagmática do ato mediúnico e da escrita mediúnica; a constituição do actante e do ator-médium nesses relatos de experiência; seus mecanismos enuncivos e enunciativos, responsáveis pelos efeitos de sentido de "verdade", implicados no estabelecimento do contrato fiduciário; a existência, no córpus, de uma figuratividade "mediúnica" e do além-vida; e, finalmente, as relações entre corpo e transmissão, que nos permitem descrever como a memória de uma prática pode ser constituída e transmitida, enquanto configuração semiótica e cultural. A análise do córpus nos permitiu, assim, reconstruir o percurso da psicografia como prática semiótica, em seus diversos níveis de imanência. Considerando a influência sociocultural e o impacto editorial da escrita psicográfica no contexto brasileiro, bem como a inexistência de estudos linguísticos ou semióticos a esse respeito, acreditamos que o presente estudo tenha auxiliado a preencher uma importante lacuna para a compreensão dessa prática tão polêmica quanto inexplorada, e que atesta a diversidade linguística, linguageira e cultural de uma expressiva parcela de brasileiros. / Abstract: This research aimed at investigating the practice of psychography or mediumistic writing based on experience reports of psychographic mediums from the city of Uberaba (MG). From the perspective of the Greimassian Semiotics and based on the contributions of Jacques Fontanille to the study of the semiotic practices, it was possible to understand: the syntagmatics of the mediumistic act and of psychographic writing; the constitution of the actant and actor-medium in these experience reports; its enuncive and enunciative mechanisms responsible for effects of meaning of "truth", involved in the establishment of the fiduciary contract; the existence of a "mediumistic" and "afterlife" figurativity in the corpus; and, finally, the relationship between body and transmission, which made possible to describe how the memory of a practice can be constituted and transmitted as a semiotic and cultural configuration. The analysis of the corpus allowed us to reconstruct the process of psychography as a semiotic practice in its various planes of immanence. Considering the sociocultural influence and the editorial impact of psychographic writing in the Brazilian context, as well as the lack of linguistic or semiotic studies in this regard, we believe this study has helped fill an important gap in the understanding of this practice, which is so controversial as unexplored and demonstrates the linguistic and cultural diversity of a significant number of Brazilians. / Doutor

Por meio da análise das cartas psicografadas, pretende-se demonstrar como a sua configuração semiótica (enunciva e enunciativa) permite caracterizá-las como um tipo de texto em particular, diferenciando-o dos textos epistolares "típicos". O córpus analisado é composto de dez cartas psicografadas publicadas entre os anos de 1973 e 1980 e atribuídas a três autores: Augusto César Netto, Jair Presente e Laurinho Basile. Entre os conceitos que orientam as análises estão os de práticas semióticas, contrato fiduciário, presença e as relações entre éthos e estilo. O percurso analítico deste estudo inicia-se pela definição da carta como objeto semiótico. Para isso, foram adotadas as contribuições de Jacques Fontanille, na aplicação de uma hierarquia de níveis de pertinência semiótica. Essa hierarquia permitiu a delimitação do percurso da carta psicográfica, desde a sua prática geradora até a sua inscrição em outros objetos-suporte. As noções de práxis enunciativa, práticas semióticas e gênero auxiliaram a caracterização do gênero epistolar psicográfico, enquanto objeto produzido no interior da prática psicográfica epistolar. A sua articulação com a prática de edição, em um nível estratégico, revelou-nos de que maneira a intervenção do editor resulta na ressignificação do texto, inserindo-o, assim, no âmbito editorial. Após a análise do córpus, foi possível constatar que o texto epistolar psicográfico é caracterizado por um éthos dual e ambíguo, coerente com os valores que permeiam a prática da psicografia epistolar / Abstract: This study aims at understanding the processes of construction of ethos, conceived as the enunciator's "image" or "identity", in the family letters written by Chico Xavier and assigned to "spiritual authors", from the perspective of the Greimassian Semiotics. Through the analysis of psychographic letters, it is intended to demonstrate how their semiotic (enuncive and enunciative) configuration would further characterize them as a particular type of text, different from the "typical" epistolary texts. This hierarchy permitted us to delimit the letter course from its generative practice to the other application-supports. The concepts of enunciative praxis, semiotic practices and genre contributed to characterize the psychographic epistolary genre as an object produced in the psychographic practice. Its relationship with editorial practice showed us how the editor's intervention implies the text resignification, at a strategic level, by setting it within an editorial context. O hospital recebe pacientes portadores desta doença, popularmente conhecida como fogo selvagem, provenientes de diversas regiões do Brasil. Considerada como uma das únicas doenças autoimunes com características endêmicas, classifica-se cientificamente como sendo uma dermatose bolhosa, comumente presente em regiões geográficas de climas tropicais, cuja etiologia, a despeito do empenho em pesquisas científicas, ainda permanece desconhecida. No Brasil, seu tratamento vem sendo realizado desde o final da década de 1960, com medicamentos à base de corticosteróides, potente anti-inflamatório descoberto no final da década de 1950. O Hospital do Pênfigo, em Uberaba, é a única instituição remanescente que se dedica de modo específico, com exclusividade, ao tratamento do pênfigo foliáceo endêmico. Instituição considerada pelo Estado como de utilidade pública, o hospital é administrado e parcialmente mantido por integrantes do segmento cultural espírita e oferece, além da terapêutica tradicional, também outras, integrativas, tais como o passe magnético, a desobsessão e a fluidificação da água. Ao registrar a história deste hospital, esta pesquisa traz também subsídios para a compreensão da evolução da doença e de seu tratamento, no Brasil. Destacamos a história da fundadora Aparecida Conceição Ferreira, da peculiar maneira por ela desenvolvida de tratar a doença e da sua amizade com o médium Francisco Cândido Xavier, desde os começos da construção e edificação do hospital, cujas raízes se fundam nos preceitos morais e na filosofia da história que sustentam a teoria doutrinária espírita do francês Allan Kardec. (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: The theme of this study is the history of Endemic Pemphigus Foliaceus disease, as well as of the Pemphigus Hospital of Uberaba - (MG), founded in 1957 and still active. The hospital receives patients with endemic pemphigus foliaceus disease, popularly known as "fogo selvagem", from several regions of Brazil. Regarded as one of the few autoimmune diseases with endemic features, it is scientifically classified as a bullous dermatosis, usually found in geographical regions of tropical climates, which etiology, despite all efforts in scientific researches, still remains unknown. In Brazil, its treatment has been performed since the late 1960s, with medicines based on corticosteroids, potent anti-inflammatory discovered in the late 1950s. The Pemphigus Hospital, in Uberaba, is the only remaining institution which is engaged in a specific way, exclusively to the treatment of the endemic pemphigus foliaceus disease. The institution is considered by the state as of public utility and the hospital is run and partially maintained by members of the Spiritist cultural movement. Besides the traditional therapy, the treatment offers integrative ones, such as the magnetic healing, the disobsession and the magnetization of the water. Registering the history of this Hospital this research brings subsidies concerning the evolution comprehension of the disease and its treatment in Brazil. We highlighted the history of its founder - Aparecida Conceição Ferreira and her peculiar manner of treating the disease, moreover her friendship with the medium Francisco Cândido Xavier, since the beginnings of construction and Hospital edification, whose roots are founded on moral principles of the Spiritist Doctrine philosophy of the French Allan Kardec.
