Objetiva identificar e relacionar os aspectos existentes no ambiente de trabalho, que provocam condições de adoecimento do corpo docente. O estudo de caso é de natureza exploratória e qualitativa, uma vez que a pesquisa busca averiguar o funcionamento das estruturas sociais e físicas que podem provocar doenças. Após breve retrospectiva da história do trabalho humano e descrição do caso de gestão, descreve-se, nos referenciais teóricos, temas como absenteísmo, síndrome de Burnout, trabalho e identidade profissional e teorias da Administração, Educação e de qualidade de vida no trabalho. Com base na descrição do caso de gestão e o suporte teórico utilizado, propõe-se um Plano de Ação Educacional (PAE), valendo-se das ações já inseridas no cotidiano da gestão escolar, com a finalidade de redirecionar o olhar do gestor, tornando-o capaz de administrar as situações do dia a dia da escola visando à minimizar as causas do adoecimento docente. / This dissertation investigates the potential causes, the effects of occupational illness from teaching and absenteeism in the Regional Pampulha, member of the Municipal Network of Belo Horizonte Education. Objective to identify and list the aspects that exist in the workplace, that causes illness on the teaching staff. The case study is of an exploratory and qualitative nature, since the research aims to ascertain the functioning of the social and physical structures that can cause disease. After brief retrospective of the history of human work and description of the case management is described in the theoretical references, issues such as absenteeism, burnout‟s syndrome, work and professional identity and theories of management, education and quality of working life. Based on management‟s case description and the theoretical support used, we propose an Educational Action Plan (PAE), making use of actions already embedded in the everyday school management, to redirect the attention of the manager making, enabling him to manage the situations of everyday school, in order to minimize the causes of teacher‟s illness.

Given that the rates of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) are increasing in today’s society, it is important to gain a better understanding of how organizational factors shape the work experiences of those who have suffered or suffer from PTSD. Paramedics constantly face hazardous situations on the job and thus it is reasonable to argue that many of these situations may have lasting negative impacts on their mental health such as depression, anxiety, and alienation. The purpose of my research is to explore the understanding and experiences of workers in these professions who have experienced PTSD either directly or indirectly. I hypothesize that the supports that emergency first responders receive for PTSD are largely based on organizational factors that shape these professions. For example, the inherent masculine culture associated with this line of work, and the emotional and physical labour that is associated with the job. In exploring the aspects of support received by paramedics, a deeper understanding of why the workers in these professions are not talking about PTSD, seeking or offering support will be gained. It will be shown that the support paramedics receive, whether it be through family, friends, doctors, and/or co-workers, determines how PTSD is addressed and viewed within these professions. It is hoped that through this research PTSD within emergency first response professions will be better understood as an occupational illness. / Thesis / Master of Arts (MA)

I have decided to devote my thesis to the topic of "Liability for damage regarding occupational accidents and illness". I consider this problem as very actual, especially regarding currently held debates on particular ways how the damages should be paid in order to compensate a work injury or an occupational disease. As a whole, the work is divided into eight chapters and their sub-chapters. The first two chapters consist of a general introduction into the topic. The very first of them focuses on the importance of employees' health protection (the importance of prevention) and tackles some questions of safety and health protection at work. The second chapter sheds light the concept of duty in law in general and in labour law in order to create a general picture of the problem of damages duty of work injuries and occupational diseases. The major part of my work is devoted to the currently used legislation on damages of work injuries and occupational diseases, which is however understood as temporary and thus is included in provisional law enactments no. 262/2006 Coll. of the Labour Law Code. It is based on objective damage duty held by the employer to a harm caused by a working injury or an occupational disease. Ondřej Lachnit Liability for Damage Regarding Occupational Accidents and Illness The following thesis deals with the issue of liability for damage regarding occupational accidents and illness in the Czech Republic. At the present time, employer's liability conforms to the Labour Code from 2006, which builds on the preceding Labour Code from the year 1965. A rich judicature concerning occupational accidents and illness has been formed since the 1960s. In this thesis, I often quote from this judicature. The current Labour Code, however, only provisionally deals with this issue; an ensuing change is about to take place due to the passing of a new law concerning the workers' compensation insurance. This law is already valid, but has yet to become operative. The law will come into effect on January 1st, 2013. Whether the law will become operative is questionable as its legal effect depends on the political situation in the Czech Republic. Currently, the right-wing government does not favour the new law, since it would burden the state budget more than the current system.
