La tesis analiza la construcción social del Parque Natural del Delta del Ebro desde su creación hasta la implantación de la segunda fase de la Carta Europea de Turismo Sostenible, a través del estudio simultáneo del parque, las instituciones y las empresas de ocio activo que surgen a raíz del establecimiento del Espacio Natural Protegido. Desde una perspectiva interpretativa y una posición epistemológica de construcción social de carácter contextual, a través del estudio de un caso único incrustado o encapsulado de carácter explicativo con distintas unidades de análisis y un extenso trabajo de campo en dos etapas: contextualización y análisis de datos temático cualitativo con la ayuda del software MAXQDA. Se identifica una tipología con tres tipos de empresas de ocio activo diferenciándose en sus características, la relación con el entorno, los objetivos a medio y largo plazo, la organización, la concepción del proyecto empresarial y la oferta de actividades. / The thesis analyzes the social construction of the Ebro Delta Natural Park – from its beginnings up to the implementation of the second phase of the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism. This is done through a simultaneous study of the park, relevant public administrations, and leisure activity firms which emerge thanks to the area being designated a Protected Natural Area. The analysis is taken from an interpretative perspective and an epistemological position of social construction of a contextual character. It involves the study of a single explanatory embedded case with different units of analysis, together with extensive field work in two stages: contextualization, and a qualitative thematic data analysis using MAXQDA software. We find a typology with three kinds of leisure activity firms showing differences in their characteristics, their relationship with their environment, their mid and long term objectives, their organization, business project conception, and the range of activities they offer.
