One of the most important challenges in engineering organizations is to deal with the growing level of complexity of their projects, combined with the immersion of the construction industry in a weak economic and commercial scene in recent years. The situation forces companies to review their macro processes’ organization, simplifying them onwards to a better distribution of tasks, reducing costs and consequently adapting its constructability standards to the new reality. In the same timeline emerges a second scenario, resulting from integration of knowledge management in the ISO 9001: 2015. Besides encouraging the participation of employees, mobilizing them to build practical solutions, the knowledge management also seeks to develop more balanced processes that provide an efficient and low-cost construction, at the same time that creation activities, storage, transfer and reuse of knowledge are encouraged and systematized. Based on this, the central objective of the research is lined on the design of artifacts that prioritize the production and incorporation of local knowledge, taking into account customer particularities, risks, availability of resources, region and labor culture, and minimize the problem allowing a more fluid articulation and dynamics between people, processes and systems. Whereas it is an engineering research, it was aimed to use an investigative method to approach the reality of construction and assembly companies, thus opting for Design Science Research. The methodology supported the case study in a large company that leads the industry in Brazil. By the method were generated four artifacts, assessed and validated as to the accuracy and application. The research has benefited from timely convergence of the methodology, the context of an engineering company in a regulatory change ISO 9001: 2015 context. The most important contribution this work accomplished was to find and exploit this convergence for the benefit of the company, but with generalization prospects of its results.

Biometrický systém pro rozpoznávání podle sítnice a duhovky oka / Biometric system for retina and iris recognition

Hájek, Josef Unknown Date (has links)

Interaktivní Java applet pro 3D vizualizaci optického disku oka / Interactive Java applet used for 3D optic nerve head visualization

Šikl, Jaroslav January 2010 (has links)
The aim of this thesis was to design and implement the interactive Java applet used for topography 3D optic nerve head visualization. Primary purpose of the 3D vizualization is ophthalmology, especially for diagnosis of glaucoma. More over should serve as a training material, which enables to study the transformation of 2D figures to 3D model and to test the effects of adjustments and regulations to imaging of the model in 3D space. Two program versions were designed in this work using the development system NetBeans version 5.5. Their final realization is implemented as .html application working in web browser window. First version of the designed applet is simple intuitive application with several default settings, so that the figure is opened automatically to 3D model. Subsequently, the applet enables to set the size of the image, 3D depth of the image, smoothing of the surface and selection of monochrome or coloured image. The second version is the extension of the first version of the designed applet, and provides the possibility to display x, y, z axis, depiction of the 3D model surface by dots, curves or grid, and illumination of the surface. Software was tested on available topographic data acquired by HRT equipment and in different web browsers. Technical documentation and user’s manual are also involved in this thesis.

Modelování procesu vidění / Modelling of the Visual Perception

Faruga, Michal January 2008 (has links)
This diploma thesis considers with human vision and human eye. It takes into account both anatomic view and physiology standpoints. There is, among others, description of optical processes occurring in the organ of the sight mentioned in the work. The human eye suffers from optical defects – aberrations – that are able to degrade the retinal image and ultimately visual performance. Substantial part of the text deals with these aberrations. There are also analysed possibilities of their elimination using an inverse aberration. Work also assumes opportunity to optical modeling to calculate distorted images from ocular aberration data. Practical part consist of software application created using Matlab environment ver. 6.5 as well as full documentation. The examples of outputs procured using this application are published. Both software application and detail documentation are included on CD.

Vliv polarizační disperze na chybovost optického kanálu / The impact of polarization mode dispersion on error-rate of optical fibre link

Dorociak, Petr January 2008 (has links)
Master’s thesis engages in the impact of polarization mode dispersion on optical communication system. Polarization mode dispersion is mathematically described by Stoke’s and Jone’s space and ensure the theoretic causes of the rise of polarization mode dispersion that are divided on the external and internal effects. On the basis of these effects grow up a differential group delay (DGD) which makes causes that individual polarization modes have between them a time delay and limitation of maximum bit rate. Then master´s thesis analyses the influence of the polarization mode dispersion on the pulse enlargement and on the modulation signal. In this work, there are described the most applicated optical modulation formats. Polarization mode dispersion has also influence on the bit error rate of optical fibre link and closing of eye diagram too. Eye diagram is used to view the transmission characteristics and diagnoses the channel errors. Eye diagram is connected with the definitions as a bit error rate (BER) and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) that are explained in this work too. Following the gained experiences it was designed an useful graphic interface to display the effect of the polarization mode dispersion on the transmitted signal. Realization of the graphic interface is created in the program MATLAB. In Matlab-Simulink are created six models according to the kind of modulations with characteristic AWGN (Additive White Gaussian Noise) channel. Program was tested for a typical values. In all calculations it is counted only with the losses that are caused by the polarization mode dispersion. It is not calculated with the losses that are caused by a chromatic dispersion and attenuation. At the end of this work are evaluated all types of modulation formats depending on the polarization mode dispersion, optical fibre length, price and complexity of the realization. Atteined results of my master’s thesis are compared with two foreign articles.

Detekce mrkání a rozpoznávání podle mrkání očí / Eye blink detection and recognition

Tesárek, Viktor January 2008 (has links)
This master thesis deals with the issues of the eye blink recognition from video. The main task is to analyse algorithms dealing with a detection of persons and make a program that could recognize the eye blink. Analysis of these algorithms and their problems are in the first part of this thesis. In the second part design and properties of my program are described. The realization of the program is based on the method of move detection using the accumulated difference frame, which helps to identify the eye areas. The eye blink detection algorithm tests a match between a tresholded pattern of the eye area taken from the actual frame and the frame before. The resolution whether the eye blink happened or not, is based on the level of the match. The algorithm is designed for watching a sitting man, which is slightly moving. The background can be a little dynamic as well. An average quality video with a moderator and dynamic backround was used as a tested subject.

Vývoj vizuálního systému u Platynereis dumerilii: náhled pomocí metod genového inženýrství / Visual system development in Platynereis dumerilii: insight from genetic engineering approach

Dobiášovská, Ivana January 2016 (has links)
Gene regulatory networks, underlying the molecular regulation of eye development are conserved across many animal phyla. Genes from the Pax family of transcription factors are one of the most conserved members through the evolution, regulating the development of crucial parts of eye, including the photoreceptor cells. Pax transcription factors are considered to be regulators of opsins, molecules providing the conversion of the light stimulus into the electrochemical signalisation in the photoreceptors cells. In this thesis, pax6 and pax2/5/8 transcription factors are investigated as potential regulators of eye development in Platynereis dumerilii. pax6 and pax2/5/8 transcription factors are tested as potential regulators of the r-opsin in Platynereis, based on the observed early expression onsets of these genes. Wild-type expression analysis of pax6 and pax2/5/8 using the whole mount RNA in-situ hybridization is provided, accompanied by the initial analysis of the Platynereis pax6 knockout line. pax6 heterozygote mutants are shown to be viable and able to reproduce, however, homozygote mutation of pax6 in Platynereis is lethal. Our data suggest that transcription factors pax2/5/8, otx and six3 are not regulated by the pax6 in Platynereis. Concerning the r-opsin present in the Platynereis eyes, pax6...
