Vliv environmentální certifikace budov při oceňování s ohledem na životní cyklus stavby / Influence of Building Environmental Certification on Price Valuation with Respect to the Building Life-Cycle

Mrňová, Zuzana January 2020 (has links)
The aim of this diploma thesis is an analysis and evaluation of environmental certifications influence on rental rates and operating costs of administrative buildings. The analysis is conducted for administrative buildings because these are the most frequently certified buildings in the Czech Republic. To fulfil this defined goal, two office space offer price databases in Prague and Brno are compiled. The first database is consists of office space offer rentals which possess environmental certification. The second database is also compiled of building offer rentals but without environmental certification. Based on these two databases the effect of environmental certification on rental rates using paired t-test is examined. Simultaneously, effective operating costs of buildings located in Brno are analysed, and it is evaluated whether and if so, at what intensity their amount is affected by environmental certifications.

Shaw, Ian Douglas 04 1900 (has links)
The legibility of the digitized copy is limited due to the quality of the original document. McMaster Digitization Centre. March 26, 2019. / The object of the program was to develop general guidelines for the art of simulation, and then to show how simulation could be used in practice. A digital computer simulation was assembled to describe the operation of the Shell alkylation plant at Bronte, Ontario. The solution of the steady-state mass and energy balances provided a working simulation on which to demonstrate the modeling and simulation techniques which are presented. The simulation was used to predict the operating costs and to asses the technical feasibility of five plant case studies. / Thesis / Master of Engineering (ME)

A comparison of whole life cycle costs of robotic, semi-automated, and manual build airport baggage handling systems

Bradley, Alexandre January 2013 (has links)
This thesis proposes that a baggage handling system (BHS) environment can be defined and coupled to a whole life cycle cost (WLCC NPV) model. The results from specific experiments using the model can be used as the basis by which to commercially compare BHS flight build types of any capacity, and BHS geographical location. The model examined the three flight build types(i): Fully automatic build2; (ii) Semi-automatic build, and(iii); Manual build. The model has the ability to calculate a bag flow busy hour rate, and to replicate the baggage flow characteristics observed within real BHS operations. Whole life cycle costs (WLCC NPV) results are produced, and these form the basis by which the comparison of BHS types is made. An overall WLCC NPV scatter diagram was produced, which is a summation of each of the test sensitivities. The assumptions and limitations of the analysis are provided. It is proposed that the results, conclusions and recommendations shall be of value to airports, airlines, and design consultants.

Optimalizace provozních a finančních nákladů v maloobchodním podniku / Optimization of Operating and Financial Costs in Retail Business

Střeštíková, Iveta January 2018 (has links)
The topic of the diploma thesis is cost optimization in the company. The concept of optimization hides the effort to modify costs in order to achieve the best economic result of the company. In order to properly analyze and subsequently design the necessary measures, it is necessary to obtain a theoretical knowledge of the costs. The first part of the thesis contains theoretical knowledge. The second part deals with cost analysis and concrete areas that are most suitable for potential savings. The last part contains suggestions that should lead to savings.

Vliv alokace podniku na optimalizaci jeho provozu s využitím principů facility managementu / Impact of the company's allocation to optimize its operation using the principles of facility management

Novotná, Lenka Unknown Date (has links)
A number of partial restructuring measures are offered to optimize business operation to improve its efficiency and performance. The structure inside the company is one of the most important tools for managing its performance and its correct definition, and a proper and meaningful distribution can play a key role in the competitive environment. In many cases, the requirement for optimization of operation will arise from the requirements of facility management, and therefore restructuring measures relating to organizational changes should be implemented with respect to the principles of facility management or should be based on its optimization. This thesis presents the impact of restructuring measures by centralizing of divisions on optimizing its operation with respect to the facility management. The aim of the dissertation is to evaluate the organizational change in the company with several divisions, taking into account the principles of facility management. The result of this thesis are the methodical recommendations during the establishment and evaluation of the division´s centralization in the company. It is based on the findings from the literature review and the real change in the building company.

Provozní náklady rodinných domů / Operating cost of family houses

Baranyková, Zuzana January 2015 (has links)
This master thesis determines and compares operating costs (energy balance) of family houses, depending on their age and during their life cycle. The basic terms, heat-technical properties and technological procedures of improving heat-technical properties are defined in the first part of the thesis. In the practical part, the operating costs of three older houses are determined. Variants of building modifications to improve heat-technical properties are suggested and evaluated. Certificates of energy performance were determined and the values compared, for both the current state of the houses and for the state after the improvement heat-technical properties. The thesis includes calculation of building modifications costs and the payback period of the investment.

Estudo comparativo de metodologias aplicadas em análises de fibra em detergente neutro e fibra em detergente ácido com gerenciamento de resíduos químicos /

Lourenço, Maria do Socorro Nahuz. January 2010 (has links)
(Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: Two experiments were conducted, aiming to quantitatively evaluate different methods proposed for the analysis of neutral detergent fiber (NDF) and acid detergent fiber (ADF). This evaluation included the precision of analytical results, the reduces costs and time analysis and minimizes waste generation. Six typical foods in animal nutrition were used: Tifton 85 hay (Cynodon spp.), sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum L.), corn silage (Zea mays L.), grass xaraés (Brachiaria brizantha cv. Xaraés) grass marandu (Brachiaria brizantha cv. Marandu) and a proteic concentrated, the babassu meal (Orbignya phalerata). The first experiment compared the NDF and ADF results of the conventional method with three alternative methods that use autoclave as system digester and on the second experiment the possibility of reuse, for once, of detergent solutions and recovered acetone applied on the first experiment, were studied. The experimental design used in the analysis of each food was completely randomized in a 4x2 factorial scheme (four methods and two forms of analysis) in the first experiment and 2x4x2 (2 uses, four methods and two forms of analysis) in the second experiment .It was observed that alternative methodologies has allowed significant gains by reducing operating costs, time of analysis, minimizing environmental impacts. The analytical precision of alternative methods varied among studied foods. NDF alternative methods were recommended for Tifton 85, babassu meal and sugarcane samples. ADF determinations by alternative methods are not recommended for samples studied; except for babassu meal that can be analyzed by the alternative method using an autoclave and bags of ANKOM. All analytical results of the determinations of NDF and ADF showed the same behavior in both forms of analysis used (non-sequential and sequential), except the determination of ADF in corn silage...
