Odhad spotřeby injekčního materiálu klienty pražských kontaktních center a terénních programů / Estimation of the consumption of injecting equipment by clients of Prague contact centers and outreach programs

Provazníková, Radka January 2017 (has links)
Background: Intravenous way of drug application is the most common between problem drug users at Prague. Due Mravčík et al. (2015), the estimate is, that there was a 15 700 intravenous drug users at Prague in 2014 (7 500 pervitin users, 2 500 heroin users and 5 700 buprenorphine users). And that they spend about 15,5 millions of syringes every year (Švůgerová, 2015). But the data in Annual report on drug situation 2014 says, there was only 2, 6 millions of syringes distributed (Mravčík et al., 2015). This means, that Prague intravenous drug users spend many more syringes, that are distributed by low-treshold services and pharmacies. That is a reason of charting of the behaviour of drug users in connection with application of addictive substance, especially how the consuption of injecting material is connected with single type of drug user. Aims: The main aim of the thesis is to find out the frequency of drug application in intravenous drug users and to estimate the total consumption of injecting materialial depended on single of users typology (used drugs, frequncy of contact with harm reduction services…) Research sample: The sample consists of 155 clients of harm reduction services at Prague (3 contact centers and 3 streetwork programs). All of the respondents stated the intravenous drug using in...

Lopes, Súsel Fernanda. January 2019 (has links)
Abstract: This dissertation is the result of the enriching experiences of the community outreach program “Dancing in the Dark”. An inclusive Rhythmic and Expressive Activities program for people with different disabilities. The community outreach program was the object of this research, being investigated by the Action Research method. A critical analysis of the Rhythmic and Expressive practices addressed Body Culture of Movement of persons with disabilities. As a main objective of this research to expand the expressive skills and protagonism of the person with disabilities, helping in the professional capacitation in Adapted Physical Education of the monitors of the community outreach program. Stimulating teamwork, self-confidence and promoting the social inclusion of participants, with body practices guided by the structuring elements of Gymnastics for All.

Chehaitly, Sébastien 08 1900 (has links)
In spring 2020, an interdisciplinary and intersectoral team (including social work, medicine, and psychology) established the Clinique Mauve, an integrated service point for LGBTQI+ migrants persons in Montreal, Canada. Among the services offered is the outreach program, an innovative collective intervention project aimed at mitigating the impacts of the socio-health crisis on this population. In the context of this thesis, I am seeking to 1) document the experience undertaken and 2) determine the lessons that can be drawn from the use of collective intervention methodologies in a socio-health crisis context. To achieve this, I primarily employ two theoretical frameworks: Bourque et al.'s typology of collective intervention (2007) and Kirmayer et al.'s community resilience model (2009). My research approach aligns with two evaluative approaches: utilization-focused evaluation (Patton and Campbell-Patton, 2022) and descriptive evaluation in a development context (Marceau, 2022; Rey et al., 2022). The analysis of the results highlights the strengths and limitations of collective intervention, multilingual and culturally adapted intervention, and socio-economic and material support in the context of the COVID-19 socio-health crisis. It also reveals the numerous challenges encountered during the implementation of this experience in an extraordinary context. A series of recommendations for the leaders of the Clinique Mauve concludes this thesis.
