Using an object relational mapper, ORM, is a good idea if you have an object relational code base and are following standards. By using an ORM you get a separation between actual objects and data persistence. This also makes it possible for the programmer to fully focus on the application without knowing much about how the database itself works.  However, this doesn’t come without drawbacks. Depending what ORM you use and how you use it, it may sacrifice performance.  The research in this thesis shows that using an ORM in a very small application does not sacrifice performance.

This theses mainly focuses on development of information system for a facility management company. It explores processes in the property management business and possibilities of its facilitation by software applications that are mainly within the tasks of a technical nature. The origin of the paper lies in the process analysis of Vaše domy Ltd. which had been started earlier on. The thesis follows up with more detailed study of client request processing. The goals of the paper are: specifying company's requirements for an application software, analysing the current market situation in the field and finally it covers design and implementation of a unique software solution.

This thesis deals with conception of info-portal controlled by Ethernet connection. The system is divided into three parts: web server, control electronics and flip-dot panel. The information to display is sent to or received from the web server. The info-portal is equiped by sensors for measurement of interior parameters (temperature, humidity and atmosferic pressure).

The objective of this thesis was to study the difficulties of Systems in the Internet's environment that are being used for analysis of Financial Market and on the basis of that to analyze, design, create and test these Information Systems. The main focus is primarily on monitoring of information in Financial Market and particularly on implementation of an interface for a customer and on a simple analysis of the gathered data. Furthermore this thesis describes and demonstrates the possibilities of current existing systems that are being used for analysis, gathering of financial data and automated trading in Financial Market, and also the possibilities of commonly used technologies in the Internet's environment: markup language HTML, database system MySQL and a scripting language PHP5, JavaScript and AJAX.
