Posouzení posturální stabilizace u skupiny dětí předškolního věku / Assessment of postural stabilization in a group of preschool children

Klauberová, Zuzana January 2016 (has links)
The thesis is looking into an assessment of a postural stabilization in a group of preschool children using an unused test in children testing "Kneeling with Support on Palms", which was used by its creators Voráčková and Šafářová in a group of adult sportsmen, and for comparison is used Matthias test, which is usually used in children testing. The thesis is focused on optimal body positions in the ontogenetic progress in the preschool age, the right body postural, dangers of origin of pathologies in postural stabilization, pathologies in body postural and the usually used diagnostic in the assessment of body postural. Results are showing a possibility of the using the test "Kneeling with Support on Palms" in preschool groups and at the same time showing chosen pathologies in the body postural of three and six years old children. The success in the thesis is a fact, that correlation with Matthias test shows for validity of the test "Kneeling with Support on Palms" and it brings information, that the test "Kneeling with Support on Palms" can be used in preschool age groups after confirmation of its reliability and objectivity. Key words: postural stabilization, body positions, preschool children, deflection in body postural

Rozvoj hudební představivosti dětí předškolního věku při jejich hudebních činnostech / Development of musical imagination of pre-school children during their musical activities

Příbramská, Štěpánka January 2017 (has links)
The theoretical starting point of the thesis focuses on the contemporary concept of the development of personality and musical preschool values. It brings closer the psychological and physiological mechanisms of the connections between musicality, personality structures and dynamics in the ontogenetic development of the child before its entry into elementary school. It aims from the field of musicality into the essence of musical imagination and ideas shaping the association. In the practical part a partial deduction of the theoretical background down to the methodological level is carried out. It deals about eroding the syncretic perception in the context of changes in abstraction from the illustrative factuality, (eg. the characters, colors) to non-illustrative factuality (music notes, graphic signs rhythmic articulation and movement melodies). In this sense it touches the current scientific trends about the constitution trans-methodology as a discipline. Keywords Musical imagination, project, preschool age, abilities and skills

Porozumění řeči u dětí předškolního věku / Speech understanding in preschool children

Kolhamrová, Patricie January 2017 (has links)
The purpose of this master thesis is to investigate how preschool children understand speech, particularly its development, therapies and diagnostics. It was created a test called Rozumění řeči (V. K.) (Understanding of Speech) because of lack of diagnostic material for examination of understanding of speech, auditory memory and attention. The test was produced in three versions for children from 4 to 7 years. Theoretical part deals with the characteristics of preschool age and the development of communication skills, especially the level of lexical-semantic language and the possibility of developing an understanding of speech and auditory perception. At the end of the theoretical part I describe the aspects (diagnosis)that had an impact on understanding of speech. The empirical part shows the practical use of the test Understanding of Speech (V.K.) in three versions. In total it was 302 children who completed the test that helped me to compare aspects which has got an influence on difficulties in understanding of speech. It has been proven that most children had at least a weak difficulty in understanding, memory and auditors attention. It was interesting that it was boys and bilingual children who had more difficulties. The influence of incorrect articulation on difficulties in understanding of...

Evaluacija efekata primene specifičnog programa vežbanja kod različitih generacija dece, uzrasta 4-5 godina, u desetogodišnjem periodu / The Evaluation of the Effect of Applying Specific Exercise Program with the Different Generations of Children aged 4-5 years, the Ten-Year Period

Stupar Dušan 22 September 2016 (has links)
<p>U cilju utvrđivanja efekata procene specifičnog programa vežbanjana motoričke sposobnosti i antropometrijske karakteristike dece pred&scaron;kolskog uzrasta, primenjene subaterija od 7 motoričkih testova i osam antropometrijskih mera. In order to determine the evaluation effects of specific exercise program on motor abilities and anthropometric characteristicsof preschool children, a battery of 7 motor tests and eightanthropometric measures were applied. The current study was conducted on a sample of 191preschoolers (90 in the experimental and 101 in the control groups), aged 4 to 5 five. They were the respondents in three projects implemented by the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education Novi Sad, in the tenyear period. The obtained data were analyzed by multivariate analysis of covariance (MANCOVA). It can be concluded that the application of experimental and control models of exercise resulted in substantial improvement of certain motor skills in the experimental group compared to the control group. In the space of anthropometry it was not statistically significant difference between groups in the observed three time points in the ten-year period. This doctoral thesis revealed that positive effects of the transformation of certain dimensions&nbsp; anthropological statusat different time points and with different generations of children, regardless of socioeconomic status, level of physical activity of children. In fact, the practical value of this work is to analyze the model of kinetic activities, which as such can be applied to all clubs and schools that work with children of preschool and early school age.</p>

Diagnostika a rozvoj zrakového vnímání v předškolním věku / Assessment and Development of Visual Perception in Preschool Children

Felcmanová, Lenka January 2015 (has links)
Thesis Assessment and Development of Visual Perception in Preschool Children responds to the need of broader selection of standardized tools designed for the assessment of actual development of visual perception in preschool children, especially in relation to the assessment of school readiness. The main aim of the thesis is standardization of a new assessment tool. Complementary aim is also to design and evaluate a new intervention program supporting development of selected areas of visual perception for children before and at the beginning of their school attendance. In its theoretical part thesis scrutinizes current findings in the area of visual perception and its relation to basic academic skills, especially reading. The explorative part of thesis presents standardization study based on classical model of Test theory consisting of convergent validity and reliability evaluation of proposed test and setting national norms for four age groups (from 5 to 7 years). Normative group covered 1234 participants.

The Emergence of Theory of Mind: Cognitive and Neural Basis of False Belief Understanding in Preschool Age

Grosse Wiesmann, Charlotte 09 April 2018 (has links)
Human social interaction crucially depends on the ability to attribute thoughts and beliefs to other individuals. This ability is referred to as Theory of Mind (ToM), and understanding that other people can have false beliefs about the world is considered to be a critical test of ToM. In childhood, a developmental breakthrough is achieved around the age of 4 years, when children start explicitly reasoning about others’ false beliefs. The cognitive and neural developments that lead to this milestone of human cognition, however, are currently unknown. Moreover, recently, novel im- plicit paradigms have shown that, already before the age of 2 years, infants display correct expectations of the actions of an agent with a false belief. The processes that underlie these expectations and their relation to the later-developing explicit false belief reasoning, however, are unclear. The current thesis addresses these open issues in three studies. The first study investigates the developmental trajectory and robustness of an implicit false belief task longitudinally from the age of 2 to 4 years. We find that children only perform above chance by the age of 4 years, but not at 2 and 3 years. This indicates that early success on implicit false belief tasks is fragile. The second study examines the correlation of implicit and explicit false belief tasks with each other and with co-developing cognitive abilities. This shows a dissociation of implicit and explicit false belief tasks in that performance on the two task types does not correlate, and that explicit false belief tasks correlate with syntactic and executive functions, whereas implicit false be- lief tasks do not. Finally, the third study shows that the maturation of white matter in brain regions that support false belief reasoning in adultsand of their dorsal connectivity to the inferior frontal gyrus, suggested to support hierarchical processing, is associated with the emergence of explicit false belief reasoning in 3- and 4-year-old children. These associations are independent of implicit false belief-related action anticipation and of developments in other cognitive domains. Taken together, our results speak for a dissociation of the processes underlying implicit and explicit false belief tasks. We suggest that the developmental breakthrough in explicit false belief reasoning around the age of 4 years might result from improved belief processing, emerging hierarchical processing abilities, and the maturation of the connection between the relevant brain regions. Furthermore, I speculate on processes that might underlie early success on implicit false belief tasks in infancy.:Acknowledgements iii Summary xi Deutsche Zusammenfassung xvii 1 General Introduction 1.1 Theory of Mind . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 1 1.1.1 Precursors of ToM in Infancy . . . . . . . . . . . . . 3 1.1.2 False Belief Understanding . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 4 1.1.3 Relation between Implicit and Explicit False Belief Tasks . . . . . . . 8 1.1.4 Theoretical Accounts of the Emergence of ToM . . . 14 1.2 Relation to Other Cognitive Domains . . . . . . . . . . . . . 20 1.2.1 Executive Function . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 25 1.2.2 Language . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 26 1.2.3 Correlations with Implicit False Belief Tasks . . . . . 29 1.3 Neural Basis of ToM . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 31 1.3.1 Neural Basis of ToM in Adults . . . . . . . . . . . . . 31 1.3.2 Neural Basis of ToM in Development . . . . . . . . . 35 1.3.3 Structural Brain Development in Early Childhood . . 36 1.4 Research Questions and Hypotheses . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 38 2 Study 1: Longitudinal evidence for 4-year-olds’ but not 2- and 3-year-olds’ false belief-related action anticipation . . . . . . . . . . . .45 3 Study 2: Implicit and explicit false belief development in preschool children . . . . . . . . . . . .73 4 Study 3: White matter maturation is associated with the emergence of Theory of Mind in early childhood . . . . . . . . . . . .91 5 General Discussion 5.1 Is there a continuity from early-developing to later explicit false belief abilities? . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 106 5.2 What is the relation of implicit and explicit false belief tasks to other cognitive domains? . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 109 5.3 What is the neural basis of the emergence of ToM? Obtíže při osvojování kresby u dětí v předškolním věku / Difficulties in drawing development in preschool age

Vyšínová, Pavlína January 2013 (has links)
Title: Difficulties in drawing development in preschool age Author: Pavlína Vyšínová Department: Department of Psychology Supervizor: PhDr. Miroslav Klusák, CSc. Abstract The submitted dissertation is focused on the observation of difficulties in the drawing development of preschool children. Drawing is a typical means of expression of a child, it is often considered as a spontaneous and natural activity. Nevertheless in the population of preschool children we may find some kids who do not draw at all, or they start to draw at a much later stage than it is common amongst the ordinary population, or they may also react negatively to drawing. Within this work a phenomenon in which the child's drawing distinctively does not correspond to his cognitive abilities due to the risk of a specific disability of drawing adoption (dyspinxia) or due to another crisis of imaging in the preschool age. The focus of the research lies in the processing of quantitative methods (intellectual abilities test, drawing tests), however additional information is also derived from the qualitative methods (anamnesis, interview, observation, essay). In the methodology a new evaluation system for the scoring of children's drawings regardless of the depicted theme is introduced. A part of the work also suggests an intervention for the...

A Longitudinal Study of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder Symptoms in Preschool-Age Children

Greenson, Jessica Nicole 01 May 2001 (has links)
Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is among the most common reasons for referral to children's mental health clinics, with an estimated prevalence of 3% to 5% in the general population of school-age children. Children who exhibit the requisite behaviors may obtain a diagnosis of ADHD at any age; however, symptom onset must occur before age 7 and persist for at least 6 months. Despite these temporal requirements for diagnosis, little empirical information about the manifestation and stability of ADHD symptoms in preschool children exists. This study provides information about the initial presence and stability over one academic year of ADHD behaviors in a sample of 290 preschool children rated by mothers and/or teachers. Data suggest higher levels of these behaviors at home versus school, with behaviors remaining stable over the course of the academic year at school, and diminishing over this time period at home. Family environment factors (e.g., socioeconomic status, family stress) were not found to have strong predictive relationships with levels of ADHD behaviors in this sample of preschoolers including little support for a directional relationship between dysfunctional parenting behaviors and child ADHD symptoms. Conclusions and clinical implications of these finding, are provided and may assist psychologists in their efforts to diagnose and treat this disorder in young children.

Zařazení kompenzačních cvičení v předškolním vzdělávání a jejich vliv / Inclusion of compensatory exercises in preschool education and their impact

Tymichová, Veronika January 2022 (has links)
Title: Inclusion of compensatory exercises in preschool education and their impact Objectives: The aim of this work is to verify the effect of the intervention exercise program in preschool education. The next object was to evaluate the postural position of selected group of preschool children. Methods: In our empirical-theoretical work we were used the methods of comparative analysis of literature with the topic of the work. We used input and output measurements by Matthias's test. From the initial testing of 60 preschool children we selected 7 individuals with the worst results who were included in the intervention program. After the intervention we re-evaluated the postural body position of 7 individuals together with 7 preschool children in the control group. We used the method of observation during testing and during the intervention and we used mathematical-statistical methods also. Results: We were found that in a sample of 60 children had 8.4 % poor posture but it is a better score than in similarly focused studies. Seven children with the worst evaluated results were included in the intervention exercise program. After the intervention program we measured better results in postural body position in 5 individuals. Based on the results of the experiment it can be said that compensatory...

Valentová, Markéta January 2021 (has links)
VALENTOVÁ, Markéta. Development of communication skills of children with specific language impairment growing up in a bilingual environment. Praha: Pedagogical Faculty, Charles University, 2021. 84 p. Magister Degree Thesis. The thesis focuses on speech therapy from the perspective of special pedagogy. It focuses on the development of communication skills in children with specific language impairment who grow up in a bilingual family, where one of the parents communicates with the child in Czech and the other in another language. The aim of the work was to analyze the development of communication skills of children from the research sample. The first part of the thesis defines the concepts of communication, language and its importance in terms of relationship building and identity formation, speech and its development. It stipulates the introduction to the issue of bilingualism, including its types and degrees, the area of bilingual education and language development and its specifics in a bilingual child. The work also contributes to the methods and strategies of bilingual education and its possible pitfalls. The last chapter of the theoretical part outlines the issue of speech therapy care for a bilingual child with impaired communication skills and deals with the issue of specific language...
