The thesis is focused on analyzing the current situation of project management in the company FORMSERVIS, Ltd., identifying and proposing methods for its improvement. While modifying a standardized project management methodology, the use of appropriate software for project management and its benefits is emphasized. The methodology for modification of project management support with regard to the nature of its activities and the availability of relevant data is proposed on the basis of the literature review. In the practical part, an assessment of the current situation is performed and the form of implementation of the new standard is designed. As the most suitable method PRINCE2 methodology is selected with the use of MS Project software. The possible problems and advantages of standardization of project management in the company are summarized and evaluated in the discussion and conclusion.

Goal of the thesis is a detail description of the project methodology within the Telecommunication Company and pointing out the differences between current existing methodology and methodology standards. The thesis is not just simple description of the project methodology but addition to that it tries to (in given time & material framework) design new solutions for the project process optimalization. The aim of the proposed solutions is to increase competitiveness of the company on the market in current dynamic environment. Thesis has two main parts, theoretical and practical one. Theoretic part deals with general project methodologies and compares theirs main features and characteristics. One of the chapters is also describing Six Sigma process methodology, that will play a major role in the practical part of the thesis. In practical part, first of all I am introducing the company Vodafone Czech republic which allowed me the creation of the diploma thesis. Following chapter is focused on existing project methodology, project life-cycle and tools that the company uses in day-to-day practice. Next chapter deals with the detail analysis of the project process and by using of real samples of the company projects I try to find the optimalization of the project process in order to speed up the time to market and thus provide faster reaction to the market conditions and needs. Final chapter provides a summary and conclusion of the work done. The main objective is to organize and enrich the theory of Project Quality Management, which was achieved by several sub-objectives. There was performed a research on Project Quality Management in practice not only in Czech Republic, but also in the world. This research found the most common standard/methodology for Project Quality Management and subsequently was applied in practice. This thesis also includes selection of the most appropriate techniques and tools for Quality Management. Theoretical section explains basic terms related to the topic of thesis, described the most important standards and Project Quality Management methodologies, determined hypotheses and way of questionnaire survey carried out a research related to thesis topic. Given the results of the survey is the practical section devoted to application of PMBOK methodology into practical Project Quality Management. Follows an overview of the most appropriate techniques and tools suitable for Project Quality Management also based on results of research.

This thesis will deal with mapping the current state of project management in TOTAL CZECH REPUBLIC Ltd., which is part of a multinational group called Total, which operates in more than 130 countries. TOTAL CZECH REPUBLIC Ltd. creates many projects, both independently of its international subsidiaries, as well as with their mutual cooperation. A partial goal of this thesis is with the help of specific project management methodology, to analyse the selected progress of the project and subsequently design optimization. Practical work will be concerned with analysis and comparison of the current state of project management at a selected project applying the procedures of the PRINCE2 methodology. Based on this analysis, proposed solutions will arise from the methodology to optimize and enhance the effectiveness of project management.

The thesis is focused on understanding the current state of project management in selected companies, including proposing their own suggestions and recommendations. Own suggestions and recommendations are directly used in the case study of a real project-an exclusive two-days training for exclusive leaders. The thesis has two parts. In the first part are described the elementary terms of project management. Defined individual phases of the life cycle, described selected project documentation and international standards and methodologies of project management. In the second part is a brief description of the selected company, describes the project lifecycle, including comparisons of the international standards and methodology and evaluation deficiencies. Suggestions and recommendations are used in the case study and in the final discussion are evaluated practical suggestions and recommendations.

This thesis handles the issue of Project Management, especially formation and structuring of the plan of project control (Project Management Plan). Formation of the Project Management Plan is one of the activities, which is performed by project manager in cooperation with customer in the first phase of project life cycle. The content of this thesis is a proposal of optimised structure of Project Management Plan with predefined description and extent of individual parts (chapters). In addition, there are different methodologies and their comparison described in this thesis, which are usually used in Project Management. These are PMBOK, Prince2, ČSN ISO 10006 and the project methodology of Siemens, which is called Chestra. These methodologies form the base for a newly formed structure of Project Management Plan. In the supplement of this thesis, there is a template of the document Project Management Plan, with which a project manager is able to form a new management plan of particular project easily. This template was created on the basis of particular project analysis within the scope and work of Siemens IT Solutions and Services Company and reflects not only theoretical knowledge, but also the needs of the particular company.

This thesis is focused on the methodological documents improvement of the company in the field of project management. The changes are based on the theoretical base, which is made up of the general project methodologies selected by the author. The first part describes two chosen methodologies, use of which, is based on knowledge of the company environment. The second part then describes the existing guidance documents that can be used as inspiration to create a new methodological document. The output of the thesis is the methodological project document, which takes into account both the principles and practices described in the context of general methodologies, current guidance documents and knowledge of the company environment.

This diploma thesis deals with several views on project in connection with information system proposal of rentals. The first part focussing on project preparation and verification of hypotheses about the possibility of entering into the software market for rentals. The second view is focused on comparision of provide software as a licence or Software-as-a-Service. The third point of view is engaged in proposal of project procedure of implementation PRINCE methodology. The work ends with the conclusion of the design phase by creation of detailed analysis application.

One of objectives of practical part of the thesis is to perform an analysis of current state of project management in selected organization. Based on its specific environment and identified opportunities for improvement it follows up with formalization of recommended design and way of implementation of alternative approach for project management which uses appropriate agile elements but also reflects specific needs and limits of the organization. In its theoretical part the thesis describes basic terminology related to management of projects and portfolios, selected models of project lifecycle, popular standards and methods of traditional project management, core philosophy of agile and selected practices of agile project management.

This thesis is focused on Best Practices of agile methodologies, their application to the most common problems of project management and their integration into PRINCE2. The thesis will be focused mainly on the application of individual agile practices, not on the whole methodologies. This thesis will be divided into two main parts. In the first part PRINCE2 methodology basics, chosen agile methodology practices and Best Practices itself will be introduced. In the second part the most common problems of project management will be defined. Then every Best Practice will be applied to the defined problems and various aspects of PRINCE2. In the end the most usable Best Practices based on the results of research will be evaluated.
