This diploma thesis deals with issues surrounding the evaluation of investment project effectiveness. Apart from general characteristics and identification of key terminology in the area of investment decision making and capital planning, which are outlined in the theoretical part of this thesis, the section also provides an overview of methods used to evaluate the effectiveness of the investment decision making process. Particular attention is paid to the issue of criteria selection based on cash flows generated by the investment project. Theoretical findings regarding the evaluation of investment effectiveness are then used in the analytical part of this this by evaluating the effectiveness of a real-life investment project.

Diploma thesis has a character of a feasibility study which may serve for implementation of a smaller development project. This project is focused on the creation of student dormitory on university level by reconstructing an administration building. The goal of the thesis is to present a basic structure of implementation of such development project from construction and operation view and in terms of financial evaluation based on requirements of a private investor. Furthermore, the document describes in detail the Slovak accommodation market, reasons for such an investment, aspects of reconstruction, operating plan and financial side of the entire investment. The goal of this Diploma Thesis is to evaluate the financial situation of agricultural company AGRO BYSTŘICE a. s. (JSC) in their investment decisions. The thesis has been divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part has been dealing with the investment's issues as well as with the profitability of investment projects. It continues with the subject of financial analysis and its individual indicators. The practical part concentrates on the company AGRO BYSTŘICE a.s. issues and its investment project. It evaluates the economic profitability of the given project by means of theoretical findings. It considers the results of financial analysis of the company before and after the implementation of investment project.

The thesis deals with the business plan of the online project Světotrip.cz. It is a travel portal that connects experienced travelers with people who don`t have much experience with individual travelling. The goal is to reach out to the public in general and offer them the possibility of low-cost travel. The introductory part contains theoretical starting points and explains the necessary terms. The second analytical part evaluates the market environment through external, internal and sectoral analyzes. The final part focuses on the development of a actual business plan. The reader will be thoroughly acquainted with the goal of the whole project, the various services offered, the competitive advantage and the specific business model of the whole project.

The aim of this diploma thesis is to theoretically, practically and experimentally explore different ways of waste heat utilization in the building industry. The work is divided into three basic passages. In the first part I analyze the theoretical nature of the various physical processes in recovery and is there a practical use. More emphasis is placed on heat recovery from wastewater, as I am using this way of recuperation in other parts of this diploma thesis. In the second point, I apply the use of heat from waste water when designing a technical solu-tion for the reconstruction of the heating system of the clinic. The design is solved in two variants. The first suggested location lokali- them, recuperative, shower exchanger operation rehabilitation, bath and massage. In the second variant, central recovery is envisaged using a heat exchanger in the accumulator well and water-water heat pump. Based on the technical and economic evaluation, the first option was selected. The second variant is ineffective and remains only in the case study. In the last section, I experimentally investigate the thermal efficiency and the relative savings of the heat exchanger, which is designed in the first variant of the second part. Measurement, processing of results and evaluation I made for laboratory conditions and for real conditions with the showering person. Finally, I appreciate the eco-nomic benefits of this facility.

The subject of the master’s thesis is a economic and financial evaluation of leisure time activities project. In the theoretical part, I deal with public sector, life cycle of a project, feasibilty study and cost methods. In the practical section I evaluate the project in therms of economic and financial feasibility. I compare multiple project options. I compare the results of my findings and I am trying to find out the best variant.

This diploma thesis is focused on the design of technological modifications of the existing industrial unit „waste-to-energy“, used for thermal treatment of process waste gases containing VOC and CO while flue gas is produced. The main objective of the existing unit modification is to improve its operating parameters considering economy, ecology and energy utilization. In the first part, the current industrial plant was presented with all necessary process data. Furthermore, all the key equipment used for the waste gases treatment or for the utilization of waste heat was identified. In the main part of the thesis there are performed modifications of the existing unit including the technology of existing heat exchangers intensification, the design of new and more efficient heat exchangers and finally the catalytic oxidation technology implementation for the decomposition of pollutants contained in the waste gas. The result of the thesis is a technical, economic and ecological comparison of the proposed technological modifications with the existing operation.

The subject of the diploma thesis is the evaluation of a selected investment project of the company. The first part defines the theoretical basis, which describes the investments, financial analysis, investment evaluation methods, and risks, which form the basis for the processing of the analytical part. The second part deals with the basic financial analysis of the company in order to evaluate the financial condition of the company. Furthermore, the investment project itself is evaluated, where also risks are determined, from the perspective of cash flows and the implementation of the project. Finally, based on the performed analyses, the investment opportunity and its weaknesses are comprehensively evaluated, through which is recommended the implementation or rejection of the investment plan.

The following text is devoted to wind power stations. It shows basic distribution of wind engine according to the principle of their function and suitability of their use for power generation. It shows the parameters that must satisfy the suitable sites for building wind power stations and it shows wind maps of the Czech Republic. There are described some of the most frequently installed machines in the Czech Republic. Next chapters describe the economics running part of wind power stations; analyze the basic cost-sharing, mention methods of tax depreciation of tangible assets, the redemption value of electrical energy from renewable sources. There are chosen some of the most used methods for assessment the economic efficiency of wind power stations. There are common methods of static and dynamic in terms of time value of money, the possibilities and limitations of their use. This information is a basis for designing and implementing a program to calculate the economic efficiency of wind power station. The goal is to create a computer program based on your input values and calculation methods to calculate the economic indicators and economic effectiveness of project wind power station in terms of total investment coasts and on equity capital projects. Based on evaluation of data it will be ready to determine whether the investment in to the construction of wind power station can provide the required funding.
