We discuss the entrepreneurial practices of the cities that compose the "Western Border Metrpolitan" (Itagua?, Japeri, Paracambi, Queimados, and Serop?dica). These municipalities had their potential for increased industrial and logistical attractiveness due to the inauguration of the Metropolitan Arch and fiscal incentives policies. In this way, municipal governments have used strategic geographical position, empty land and other facilities, to attract new investors to this region. The results show recent transformations and constant efforts to ensure a promising "investment image" of the region. We observe that cities are committed to adopting the model of Urban Entrepreneurship, in the effort to become a commodity to be consumed, adopting strong rhetorical discourse of how indispensable it is for its growth and development.
