Palabras Clave: crema cosmética, sensibilidad dérmica, patch test, irritación / In this study it was determined the capability to not produce allergic irritation of a stretch mark reducing cream (BEL-030509) through repetitive epidermal contact tests, after having undergone a preclinical study in which the result was the negative sensitivity in guinea pigs. 63 persons participated (n=63), they were selected after completing a survey that has the criteria of inclusion and exclusion approved by the Institutional Ethics in Research Committee (Comité Institucional de Ética en Investigación) of the National Institute of Health (Instituto Nacional de Salud) from Peru. We used three creams, the stretch mark reducing cream (BEL-030509) as experimental cream, petrolatum as negative control in face to the active ingredient of the experimental cream and the commercial cream Nivea as negative control in order to compare the grade of skin sensitivity in face to the experimental cream. These three cream were applied on the in selected persons in a patch with filter paper. We recorded the degree of irritation after removing the patch for each application. At the end of the study, it has been showed that the experimental cream did not cause any type of irritation (0%) compared to results obtained for petrolatum (0%) and for Nivea cream (0%). We conclude that the cream has no capacity to produce skin sensitivity after repetitive epidermal contact, showing that its use is safe at doses of 0.2 g per application.

3D reconstruction of chronic wounds using a hand-held camcorder and its application in cutaneous leishmaniasis woundsCasas Guido, Eda Leslie Mónica 09 March 2017 (has links)
Chronic wounds are a major healthcare problem worldwide which mainly a ects geriatric
population and patients with limited mobility. In tropical countries, Cutaneous Leishmaniasis
(CL) is also a cause for chronic wounds, being endemic in 75% of Peru . In this context,
the assessment of these type of wounds represents a big challenge due to the limited access
to specialized medical resources.
This work aims to develop a video-based method to compute the 3D point cloud of skin
wounds which could provide accurate metrics for medical assessment despite of the location
of the patient. Recently, CL specialists have used metrics as volume in clinical assessment
with promising results.
The acquisition protocol is prompt to be user friendly and feasible in remote locations;
the video is taken using a commercial hand-held video camera without a rig or special
illumination. The algorithm follows the Structure from Motion methodology: FAST feature
detector, pyramidal optical flow and Jacob’s method for missing points estimation.
The results show good performance in terms of accuracy and repeatability of the point
cloud computation, less than 0.6 mm and 0.21 mm respectively. However, experiments
suggest that the volume computation technique does not adapt well to the proposed method
output and requires a deeper analysis.
The method has been entirely implemented using open source libraries. / Tesis
