Kvalitativní studie tvorby strategie ve sportovní organizaci / A Qualitative Study of Strategy Creation in a Sports Organization

Máchová, Marcela January 2017 (has links)
The success of each organization is based on a good strategy. In my master´s thesis I deal with the topic of what is needed to create a good strategy and whether this theory is valid even in the sports environment. In particular, I deal with the creation of the strategy in the Won-hyo Třeboň sports club and how it's management works throughout the strategic planning cycle. The aim of the thesis is to find out how is the management of the club approaching the strategy. If they consider the strategy important. Eventually how do they approach each stage of the strategic planning cycle and how does this reflect the club's outputs? The research has a qualitative essence and is mainly based on interviews with the members of the club who are involved in the strategy creation. I have participated in this research. The result of the thesis is that the management considers the strategy to be important but does not proceed in accordance with the theoretical bases resulting from the research and synthesis of the strategy and strategic planning cycle literature. This fact at the end opens the space for possible recommendations for improving the effectiveness of the strategy in a given sports club.

Ferramenta de gerenciamento e recomendação como recurso na aprendizagem baseada em projeto em design

Meurer, Heli January 2014 (has links)
This thesis aims to investigate how the use of a project management and content recommendation system, configured in accordance the concept of PBL, can support students in research and project planning process. Therefore, was performed a study on the structural and educational characteristics of project-based learning. Here was also checked how the information and communication technologies support the PBL and how recommendations and content influenced students in their investigations. After the completion of literature survey, the projetual methodology, called Projeto E, was configured as a PBL model and, based on this, was developed a managing and planning projects system for academic content with a recommendation device. Then, a practical experiment is conducted using the system to check out the contributions of them in teaching projects. To obtain the data, questionnaires were administered to participating students, interviews were conducted with teachers, observed the project reports, and ascertained the frequency of the system event log. The analysis and evaluation of data was divided into eight aspects considered important for the investigations and planning in PBL, namely: autonomy, discussion, reflection, collaboration, organization, design, presentation and evaluation. There was observed that the system had a positive effect on the following aspects: easy organization of the teams, time management, in projetual planning, in teleworking, in integration and synchronization among students and teachers, in the comprehension of the methodological structures and the appropriate use of methods, in the research contextualized, in the documentation process, in the discussion and collaboration among teams, in comparison, review and evaluation of projects and in the quality equalizing of the projects.

Česká urbanistická tvorba 1938-1948: regionalismus a činnost Zemského studijního a plánovacího ústavu v Brně. / Czech Urbanism 1938 - 1948: Regionalism and Work of the Country Research and Planning Institute in Brno

Pražanová, Eva January 2015 (has links)
The given dissertation presents the work of the Country Research and Planning Institute in Brno and depicts regional tendencies in the Czech urbanism in the 40's. In her paper the author focuses on the period between 1938 and 1948 that marks the active existence of Brno's institute which was the most progressive institution within the field of regional planning in that era and whose activities have never been described sufficiently. The main initiators and authors of the institute concept were Bohuslav Fuchs, Jindřich Kumpošt and Josef Mrkos; later a significant figure of the Czech regional planning - Emanuel Hruška joined them. The dissertation defines the urbanistic works of the specified period as continuance of the previous development forcibly interrupted in 1948. In order to understand the motives for the regional planning, this paper outlines the principal idealistic concepts of the planners: criticism of liberalism, holism, technocracy, and redefinition of so called scientific stage of functionalism related to the problem of mental functions in the architecture. After introducing the regional planning in the world and Czechoslovakia at the beginning of the 40's the history, concept and functioning of Brno's institute is presented, including analyses of its main projects. An investigation into whether a leadership and management development project changed the perceptions of the educators in a black, disadvantaged school

Jaftha, A P January 2003 (has links)
This study investigates whether a leadership and management development programme changed the management perceptions of the teachers of one of the schools that participated in the programme. The programme seeks to change the organisational culture of schools and develop effective management. The development philosophy of the programme is informed by literature on school effectiveness, organisation development, whole school development and systemic change. My research is conducted in the interpretive paradigm. Interpretive researchers view reality a construct of the human mind, and therefore the way people perceive the world is not necessarily the same since there can be different understandings of what is real. I employ convenience sampling to select the school and purposive sampling to identify my research participants. Whilst overall impression that the data conveys is that much of the programme does not seem to have had a lasting effect on the culture of the school, it nonetheless made an impression on the teachers’ perceptions of management. There clearly seems to be a greater appreciation of participative management processes. The reintroduction of proper prior planning played a decisive role in re-establishing sound work ethics at the school and contributes to a more structured approach to events at the school. Some sort of organisational learning has also been introduced at the school. The realisation on the part of the staff that they now have their destiny in their own hands is an especially critical development. And whilst the vision is not a compelling force in the organisation, it has nevertheless produced some strategic focus at the school. The insights and skills they acquired concerning resource management will also stand them in good stead.

Unfree wage labour, women and the State: employment visas and foreign domestic workers in Canada

Cornish, Cynthia Dale 26 March 2021 (has links)
The present study examines federal government programs to admit women to Canada as foreign domestic workers, their exclusion from labour standards legislation, the conditions of work and wage-rates which result from this exclusion, and attempts to organize foreign domestic workers. (The thesis maintains that foreign domestic workers represent a modern form of unfree wage labour since they are required to remain in domestic work as a condition of entry to Canada. In this sense, foreign domestic labour is unfree because of the legal restrictions on the right of workers to change employer, occupation and/or industry. The study also examines the intersection of gender, class and ethnicity in the foreign domestic labour process. The need for domestic workers is increasingly being met by women from the less economically developed areas of the world and the recruitment of these women on temporary employment visas places much of the burden of day care and domestic labour in Canada on disadvantaged women and nations. It is argued that the employment of foreign domestic workers in the homes of privileged families gives rise to differential experiences of oppression by women of different classes and ethnic origins. Data for the study are taken from the following sources: employment records to admit foreign domestic workers between January, 1980 and December 31, 1987 supplied by the Research Division of Planning and Research Directorate of the Employment and Immigration Commission, interviews with foreign domestic workers, labour lawyers, community activists, employment agencies, immigration officials and previous studies of foreign domestic workers in Canada and in other advanced industrial nations. / Graduate

Komplexní urbanistická analýza ulice Obchodná v Bratislavě s teoretickou vizí rozvojového potenciálu / Comprehensive urbanistic analysis of Obchodná Street in Bratislava with a theoretical vision of the development potential

Tichý, Jan January 2019 (has links)
This thesis aims to create a complex urban analysis of the Obchodna street in the Bratislava city centre. It aims to identify the key problems and provide a conceptual solution for them as well. It focuses on general background analysis and planning documentation, as well as an analysis of the public space. A combination of distant and field research was used to gather the necessary data. All gathered data was subsequently processed and evaluated. Key problems and their solutions were defined on the basis of SWOT analysis. These solutions consist mostly of minor and easy changes, which can help to improve the public space in Obchodna and fulfil its potential.
