Vybrané otázky týkající se statusu profesionálního sportovce / Selected issues of status of a professional athlete

Pospíšil, Daniel January 2015 (has links)
v anglickém jazyce (abstract in English) This thesis discusses the very topical issue of the status of professional athletes. The answer to the question whether the exercise of a professional sporting activity falls within the definition of dependent work in accordance with the Labor Code is currently still unresolved. Although there are strong arguments in favor of the subordination of at least part of the legal relations in professional sports under the labor legislation, the current situation is exactly the opposite. The vast majority of athletes today carry out their activities as self-employed persons. In this respect, the practice in the Czech Republic differs from the majority of other, not only European, countries where athletes normally have the status of an employee and possess the corresponding rights. This practice was recently explicitly allowed by the Supreme Administrative Court, stating that despite all the similarities, such activity is so specific that it defies the notion of dependent work. Czech law does not currently include any regulation of this issue, whilst it is evident that the current wording of the Labor Code is in fact inapplicable to the specific relationships in professional sports. It is therefore no wonder that the Czech sport clubs take advantage of the option not...

Pohybová úroveň hráčů šestkového a plážového volejbalu v závislosti na jejich antropometrických parametrech / Motor skills of volleyball and beach volleyball players depending on their anthropometric parameters

Hercogová, Simona January 2017 (has links)
The thesis "Motor Skills of Volleyball and Beach Volleyball Players Depending on Their Anthropometric Parameters" discusses the distinctions in somatotypes of players of both sports. The thesis aims to define the influence of a somatotype for playing in each position. Furthermore, the thesis compares the differences in motor skills between beach volleyball and volleyball players. Nowadays, professional sports are characterized by growing pressure on athlete's performance. It leads to higher competition which lowers the differences between the individual athletes to minimum. As it gets more difficult for every athlete to be the best, room for science opens up in sport. For this reason, natural conditions of somatotypes and other anthropometric parameters play key roles. The aim of the thesis was to discover the differences in motor skills and somatotypes of beach volleyball and volleyball players. In the research, somatic and motor measurements were applied on players of the same performance categories. Thus, the thesis offers material that beach volleyball and volleyball coaches can later use in practise, for instance while spotting future talents, setting appropriate positions or creating game plans. Key Words Beach Volleyball, Volleyball, Anthropometric Parameters, Motor Skills

Player experience from 3D game components : A theoretical and empirical look at computer graphics in practice / Spelarupplevelse från 3D-spelskomponenter

Wilander, Hjalmar January 2019 (has links)
There is currently little research about how the aesthetics of a game affects the perceived PX. Especially, the aesthetics of the individual 3D game components, such as characters, enemies and environmental objects. This thesis project studies different design principles and approaches to create 3D game components. These are used in practice to create 3D game components for a video game. The 3D game components are evaluated with qualitative and quantitative methods, with the intention to find a method for creating 3D game components that evoke a certain PX. The results show that it is possible to create 3D game components that evoke positive emotions, by using color psychology, animation theory and by designing from the developers own feelings and experiences.
