____________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / The text analyzes the poetry of female authorship produced in Mato Grosso during the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries, and focuses on lyric poems that set out the loving feeling. The selected corpus has as authors the poets Elisa Albert, second half of the 19th century, Arlinda Morbeck, Maria de Arruda Müller, Antídia Coutinho, Guilhermina de Figueiredo, Benilde Moura, Maria da Glória Novis, Maria Santos Costa Gehre, first half of the 20th century, and Amália Verlangieri, Marilza Ribeiro, Lucinda Persona, Luciene Carvalho and Marta Cocco in the second half of the 20th century and early 21st. The concepts used to think about love and women in Brazil and Mato Grosso rely on studies by Simon May (2012), Pascal Bruckner (2011), Flávio Gikovate (2009), Helen Fischer (2010) and Mary Del Priore (2011). The theoretical framework that guides the characterization of the lyrical subjects-of-enunciation follows the thoughts of the philosophers Homi Bhabha (1998) and Hugo Achugar (2006). For the first one, the minorities’ speech articulates itself in outer spaces, and the second one postulates that this kind of speech spreads by babbling ways. Reflections of Rita Schmidt (2008), Cynthia Shwantes (2002) and Andrea Nye (1995) are used to discuss the language and the condition of the woman writer. The theories and concepts of Emil Staiger (1997) and Hugo Friedrich (1978) about the modern lyric, and the reflexions from Octavio Paz (2012-2013) about the poetic image, lead the analysis of the poems. The research, based on this list of readings, elucidates two converging aspects: 1) points the female absence on the local historiography and, 2) identify ruptures and continuities shown in the lyrical images of the love theme produced by women in Mato Grosso. The sum of these two basic axes of the research determines the tone and the place of the female lyrics’ enunciation on the literary production in the State.
