The purpose of the study is to explore how project managers in municipal activities experience that the structures and processes of the project work form create a successful project. Based on the question What do project managers in public sector experience creating a successful project in their organization? an in-depth picture of the subject is reproduced. This study was conducted using a qualitative method with an inductive effort where semi-structured interviews were conducted to gain a better understanding of the study's purpose and question. This in turn led to a result where three central themes: Speaking is gold silence is silver, The municipal trap and Politics as a brake block?. Subsequently, the discussion has been approached in connection with these themes and which resulted in the conclusions success factors based on communication and commitment. Furthermore, conclusions concerning the municipality's decision-making paths are not considered optimal and thus do not offer effective projects. Finally, politics can help or overthrow a project, but it should not do so. / Syftet med studien är att studera hur projektledare i kommunal verksamhet uppleveratt projektarbetsformens strukturer och processer skapar ett framgångsrikt projekt. Utifrån frågeställningen Vad upplever projektledare i kommunala organisationer skapar ett framgångsrikt projekt i deras organisation? återges en fördjupad bild i ämnet. Denna studie är genomförd med kvalitativ metod med en induktiv insats där semistrukturerade intervjuer har genomförts för att få en bättre förståelse för studien syfte och frågeställning. Detta i sin tur ledde fram till ett resultat där tre centrala teman: Att tala är guld att tiga är silver, Den kommunala fällan och Politiken som bromskloss?. Därefter har diskussionen tagits an med koppling till dessa teman och som resulterade i slutsatserna framgångsfaktorer som bygger på kommunikation och engagemang. Vidare slutsatser berör kommunens beslutsvägar inte anses optimala och därmed inte erbjuder effektiva projekt. Till sist kan politiken hjälpa eller stjälpa ett projekt men den bör inte göra detta.
