Previous issue date: 2006 / Resumo: Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo investigar e compreender a condição infantil através das relações de idade e da produção das culturas infantis entre crianças pequenas em contexto educativo, buscando trazer para o debate novas questões de um tema ainda incipiente que começa a ser pensado. Para tanto, esta pesquisa buscou, através do estudo etnográfico, observar, descrever e analisar o cotidiano de crianças pequenas (especialmente de 3 a 6 anos de idade) em uma instituição de Educação Infantil pública da cidade de Campinas/SP. O centro das preocupações nesta investigação, portanto, refere-se à necessidade de ampliação do conceito de infância para além das concepções teóricas da psicologia do desenvolvimento infantil, no campo do conhecimento das Ciências Sociais, em especial, na Antropologia, articulada às produções brasileiras e italianas no campo da Educação Infantil, para além de um recorte etário, em espaços privilegiados de relações diversas (de classe, de etnia, de gênero, etc.) entre crianças da mesma idade e de idades diferentes e suas implicações na construção de uma Pedagogia da Educação Infantil que conheça quem são as crianças e o que elas estão produzindo para além das determinações etapistas e delimitações cronológicas impostas, contrariando a idade / Abstract: This research aims at investigating and understanding the childhood condition through age relationships and production of childhood culture among small children in educational context, raising new questions related to a budding issue. Therefore, through ethnographic studies, the focus of this research was to observe, describe and analyze the everyday life of small children (mainly from 3 to 6 years old) at a public institution of Early Childhood Education in Campinas/SP. Thus, the core of the concern in this investigation is related to the necessity for a broader concept of childhood beyond the theoretical concepts of child developmental psychology, towards Social Sciences knowledge, mainly Anthropology. This broader concept, intertwined with Brazilian and Italian productions in the Childhood Education field, involves children in different age groups, in privileged spaces of a variety of relationships (including social class, ethnic, gender, etc¿) among children in the same and in different age groups, and its implications in the construction of a Pedagogy of Early Childhood Education that knows who these children are and what they are producing beyond any stage theory determinations and imposed chronological demarcations, as opposed to their age / Doutorado / Educação, Sociedade, Politica e Cultura / Doutor em Educação

Diploma thesis Usage of bibliotherapy for vocabulary building of scholar in preparatory class of primary school deals with the usage and efficiency of bibliotherapy as a tool for vocabulary development of children in preparatory class of primary school. The work consists of two main parts. The first is the theoretical part, which mentions the specifics of the preschool period especially in relation to the development of speech, specifically vocabulary. Also summarizes the existing knowledge about bibliotherapy and its usage in preschool children. The second is a practical part. The aim of this part is to design a complete bibliotherapeutic program focused on the development of active and passive vocabulary in five selected categories (animals, occupation, food, transport and emotions). By means of actions research is subsequently verifies the program's usability in practice and considers the possible adoption of a new approach to vocabulary strengthening of preschool children. To illustrate the success of the program, two comparative groups are included in the research, the results of each group are used to compare the progress achieved. The diploma thesis focuses on interaction between siblings in pre-school age, with the older sibling being impacted by an autistic spectrum disorder, while the younger sibling has not been diagnosed with the disorder. The theoretical part of the thesis analyses contemporary scientific findings related to this topic. It provides theoretical bases of the autistic spectrum disorder and provides information on the relationship between the siblings. An individual chapter discusses the healthy sibling and its development. The last section of the theoretical part analyses the interaction between the two siblings. Main attention is given to features which infiltrate into the relationship of the siblings and influence it. This part also examines potential methods which are to be used to improve the quality of interaction between the siblings. The empirical part consists of two researches, a quantitative one and the supplementary qualitative research. The goal of the quantitative research was to identify how certain specifics of interaction are impacted by the sincerity of problematic behavior of the sibling diagnosed with autistic spectrum disorder. The research method used was a questionnaire survey, direkt observation, as well as an interview method of analysis and class documents. The research focused on levels of some factors that that affect compliance with specific set of development and implementation of the resulting needs. In particular, the level of professional competence and teacher influence speciffic knowledge of musical development of preschool age in their respect. The Thesis is bothe theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part is mapping the theme of suspended school attendance and socio-pedagogical aspects related to the decision making process leading to suspension. The empirical part offers selected examples of parents' motivation apllying for postponing of their child's education. My research is based on interview and questionnaire. I used available Czech materials as a source of expert information and I draw from the experience of my empirical research in the last chapter.

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of school maturity in the field of visual and auditory perception and its diagnostics in children in the last year of pre-school education. The theoretical part contains the characteristics of the development of the pre-school child and the conception of pre-primary education, the concepts of school maturity and readiness, risk factors of school failure, deferment of compulsory school attendance, partial functions and deficits of partial functions. Furthermore, the possibilities of diagnostics of phonological and visual perception and other methods of evaluation of the functions, which make the acquisition of school skills successful, are described. Also mentioned is the enrollment of a child into the first grade of elementary school. The objective of the empirical part is to find out whether it is possible to contribute to their maturation by regular stimulation of the partial functions in the field of visual and auditory perception in preschool children, thus improving the readiness of children to enter primary school. Pre-school age is a very important period for all children because at this time they gain most of their basic skills, knowledge, habits and experience. The fundamentals of their lifestyle and free time spending is made up in this period too. In my thesis I would like to highlight the big importance of leisure time education as the essential means of an art creativity development for pre-school children. In this work I specialize in an art creativity development in particular. My work is devided into two parts {--} the theoretical and the practical one. In the theoretical part I aim generally at the education and upbringing of pre-school children. Here I deal with children´s development of the aesthetic education, creativity and fantasy. I try to penetrate more into the world of children´s free time, interests and visual games. I also remembered to mention the children´s motivation and the necessity of a suitable setting for doing their free time activities. Further I give description on general rules of children´s development, their socialization and temperament. I shortly deal with the pedagogues´characters, their relation-ships to children and visual art and the way of their teaching as well. The core of my thesis is the second - practical part, in which all findings are demonstrated in the creative project About the air (O Vzduchu). The project should contribute to children´s development of positive approach to the nature and coun-tryside and to more prosperous emotional apprehension and experience. I try to use the features of an aesthetic, motoric, literary and dramatic education in all my project. In the thesis conclusion I state all results discovered in the course of the project implementation.

The aim of the work was to set up a model of a pre-school institution which will educate children in the way of Marie Montessori´s alternative pedagogical conception. To fulfil the main goal, a particular aim was first carried out {--} Montessori pre-school institutional practices in the Czech Republic were mapped and some photos were taken. The aim was completed by empirical data collection during visiting nine out of eleven addressed Montessori institutions and by an interview with a professional in this field. The research was realized through the open interviews with the heads or teachers of Montessori classes. Based on the data collection, the main goal, a model of Montessori institution for pre-school children,could be completed. The plan depicts the goals of this institution, a target group, legal forms, economical balance, services offered, special interest activities, methods and forms of work, personnel, operating parameters, space and material equipment together with variants of dispositions, evaluation and sustainability. Completeness and transparency of the plan, which is based on the research realized, enable to carry it out at any place in the Czech Republic. The thesis can also inspire existing Montessori institutions to make changes or innovations.
