Torres-Llosa Pallete, Kiara 03 February 2015 (has links)
This study examined hope, the reasons for living, and their relation among a group of 78 incarcerated women between the ages of 18 and 30. The instruments that were used are the Herth Hope Scale (HHS) and the Reasons for Living Inventory for Young Adults (RFL-YA). This investigation also accounts for socio demographic factors such as education level; and legal factors, such as legal status, and prison sentence. Results show that the women in the group present higher levels of Agency in comparison to the other areas of hope, while Hopelessness was the area with the lowest levels. Amongst the reasons for living, the most important reason in the group is Future Expectations, and the least important is Peer Relations. Significant correlations were found between the different areas of hope and reasons for living. Significant differences were also found between people with different educational level, legal status and time of sentence. / Tesis

Carranza Risco, Ana Sofía 14 November 2016 (has links)
The aim of this study was to describe the femininity of a group of women held in a prison in Lima.

Caso Martinez, Alessandra Margarita 01 December 2017 (has links)
The present research aimed to analyze the relationship between adult attachment and resilience in female inmates of a penitentiary institution of minimum and medium security in Lima Metropolitana. The number of participants was 119 Peruvian interns between 18 and 40 years old (M= 30, SD= 6.24) with a time of confinement between 1 and 108 months (M= 29.61, SD= 26.21). To evaluate the attachment, we used the reduced version of the CaMir scale (CaMir-R; Balluerka, Lacasa, Gorostiaga, Muela, & Pierrehumbert, 2011) To measure the level of resilience, we used the Resilience Scale for Adults (RSA; Friborg, Hjemdal, Rosenvigne, & Martinussen, 2003). It was found that those who reported higher levels of security, as well as lower levels of childhood trauma, parental permissiveness, self-sufficiency and resentment towards parents and family concern had higher levels of resilience. Those who lived with their mother in the first years of life had higher levels of security and lower levels of family concern, selfsufficiency and resentment toward parents and childhood trauma; as well as those who lived with their father reported a lower score on parental permissiveness. Also, those who were visited more frequently had lower levels of childhood trauma. Resilience had a negative relationship with the number of children, the length of time spent in seclusion and a positive relationship with the number of visits. Additionally, it was found that those who had access to higher education and those who belong to a medium security ward reported greater resilience. / Tesis

Lindley Llanos, Valeria 07 February 2017 (has links)
This research aims to describe the ideal maternal sensitivity in a group of women confined in prison who live with their child (children) in a prison of Lima. For this purpose 19 mothers between 21 and 40 years old (M = 31.11, SD = 5.51) participated, their children were 12 and 36 months of age (M = 21.58, SD = 6.34). The Maternal Behavior Q-sort (MBQS) was assessed in version 3.1, as a self-report, responding to the slogan “How do you think it should be an ideal mother?” In addition, an interview was conducted in order to investigate the reasons the mothers chose the most and least characteristics behaviors of an ideally sensitive mother. The participants obtained a correlation of .59 with the theoretical score, which is lower than that found in other studies conducted in Peru on the ideal of maternal sensitivity. As soon as the profiles, Sensitivity vs. Insensitivity presented a stronger correlation, unlike Disengaged and Nonsynchronous. Mothers reported that an ideally sensitive mother has three main features: (1) happiness and care as an inherent quality in her; (2) be aware and pay attention to their child, almost permanently, to achieve reading and prompt and adequate response to signals; and (3) to prioritize and give importance to physical contact with her baby. Some of these elements could be related to the prison context. / Tesis

Gallegos Dextre, Adriana 29 September 2014 (has links)
The aim of this qualitative study was to describe the characteristics of the construction of gender identity in a group of nine “masculine women” convicted for criminal offenses. This data was gathered using a semi-structured interview. Three areas were prioritized: a) the conceptions of gender identity, b) experiences in the development of gender identity, and c) Influence of the prison in gender identity. Currently there are no investigations in Peru about gender identity nor the problems in this group of women within the prison environment. We sought to understand the particularity of gender performativity and how masculinity in a biological woman's body influences her relationships with others, particularly within the prison environment, where restrictiveness and heteronormativity prevail. / Tesis

Del Solar Cárdenas, Yosselin Yashira 28 September 2018 (has links)
The objective of this research was to study the relationship between well-being and its respective dimensions, and the coping strategies in the female inmates of a prison in Metropolitan Lima.
