Att tänka rätt är stort, att tänka högt är större : En Think-Aloud-studie av texttypens roll i översättningsprocessen / The Role of Text Types in the Translation Process : A Think-Aloud StudySannholm, Raphael January 2010 (has links)

/
The aim of the present study was to investigate whether different text types bring different focuses to the fore in the cognitive processes during translation. Four translator students were thus asked to translate one operative and one informative text while verbalizing their thoughts. The verbalizations were recorded and later transcribed into so called think-aloud protocols (TAPs). The analysis of the TAPs showed that the participants focused on similar aspects regardless of the source text, which indicates that the text type did not have any significant effect on the translation process in the study at hand.

The process of defining and developing Corporate Social Responsibility: A case study of Indiska MagasinetGrotkowski, Lisa, Thammakun, Ekarit January 2008 (has links)

This study uses Actor – Network Theory as a lens to present a case study of the process by which Indiska Magasinet, a large Swedish retailer, has defined and developed its conceptualization of Corporate Social Responsibility. Actor – Network Theory offers a valuable tool to examine the inter-actor negotiations that precede a conceptualization of Corporate Social Responsibility. The study results are primarily based on interviews with two prominent Indiska personnel in decision-making positions. At the instigation of the writers, the Indiska personnel told stories about the company’s way of working with Corporate Social Responsibility. In doing so, they described four principle examples of how inter-actor negotiations resulted in significant developments in Indiska’s approach to Corporate Social Responsibility. Their stories also highlighted shared values and legitimacy as the main reasons that Indiska allows other actors to influence its conceptualization of Corporate Social Responsibility.

Proces překladu pro ústřední orgány české státní správy / Translating at Central Government Bodies of the Czech RepublicHubinová, Aneta January 2016 (has links)
This thesis deals with the translation process in Czech central state administration bodies - more precisely in the ministries. The theoretical part of the thesis presents a definition of the terms institution and institutional translation and specifies the activities and functions of individual ministries. Ministries can be divided into two groups based on the presence of a translation department in their organizational structure: ministries with a translation department and ministries without a translation department. After that, selected publications on institutional translation in national institutions and in the institutions of the European Union are summarized and a model of translation process in institutions is created based on these publications and adjusted to every ministry individually. The empirical part focuses on the results of the survey and structured interviews conducted in the ministries. The conclusions are presented for every ministry individually and then for the whole group. The models of translation process are compared and commented on. Key words: International institution, institutional translation, Czech central state administration bodies, ministry, translation process, model of translation process, translation department Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Peter Newmark a jeho přínos translatologii / Peter Newmark and his Contribution to Translation StudiesKlabal, Ondřej January 2014 (has links)
The present theoretical and biographical thesis deals with the work of Peter Newmark, a prominent Translation Studies scholar. The thesis is based on an analysis of Newmark's monographs and papers and identifies key ideas which constitute his contribution to the development of Translation Studies. Given the context of his time, with the Western world being dominated by neopositivism, Newmark's approach was not in line with the mainstream. The thesis also tries to take into account the chronological development of Newmark's ideas and highlight some ideas from more recent papers, the reception of which was rather limited. Furthermore, the thesis presents the reception of Newmark's ideas and the most important critical responses to them.
