It is from this perspective that McNeill (1985) proposes that gesture and speech are in a same matrix of meaning, in other words, it is considered the gestures and vocal productions as components of multimodality in language acquisition. Thus, this study aims to examine the presence of gestures, especially the gesticulation simultaneously with vocal productions, composing a third element, the multimodal fluency in the language acquisition process. For this, we take as the theoretical apparatus, the proposal of McNeill (1985) in respect to the relationship between gesture and speech. Kendon (1982), in turn, performs a significant role in the study of gestures to classify gestural movements from a "continuous", called "continuous of Kendon". It is precisely through this "continuous" that the referred author considers gesticulations as the gestures that accompany the flow of speech involving arms, neck and head movements, body posture and legs, has marks of speech community and marks of the individual style of each one. With regard to the infant speech output, we rely upon Barros (2012) and proposed a typology for the vocal productions of the child. For the emergence of fluency we take as bases the authors Scarpa (1995) and Merlo (2006). According to Scarpa (1995) "the fluency is present in adjacent pairs, stereotyped statements, family members, frozen, often in immediate situation in expressions that exhibit greater stability." (p. 7). Therefore, we seek to understand the relationship between the emergence of gestures and vocal productions composing multimodal fluency into the process of language acquisition. For this work we will analyze a mother-baby aged 6 to 24 months of a child's life, recorded in naturalistic situation in the house of the dyad fortnightly. / Dentre os variados estudos em aquisição da linguagem, uma das investigações que vem ganhando impulso é a que se propõe a observar o aspecto multimodal da língua. Tais trabalhos têm enriquecido as pesquisas no campo da aquisição da linguagem de forma significativa. É partindo dessa perspectiva que McNeill (1985) propõe que gesto e fala se encontram numa mesma matriz de significação, ou seja, os gestos e as produções vocais são considerados como componentes da multimodalidade em aquisição da linguagem. Assim, o presente trabalho tem por objetivo analisar a presença dos gestos, em especial da gesticulação concomitante com as produções vocais, compondo um terceiro elemento: a fluência multimodal no processo de aquisição da linguagem. Para tanto, tomamos como aparato teórico a proposta de McNeill (1985), no que diz respeito à relação entre gesto e fala. Kendon (1982), por sua vez, desempenha um significativo papel nos estudos da gestualidade ao classificar os movimentos gestuais, a partir de um contínuo chamado "contínuo de Kendon". É exatamente através desse contínuo que o referido autor denomina a gesticulação como os gestos que acompanham o fluxo da fala, envolvendo braços, movimentos de cabeça e pescoço, postura corporal e pernas, e possuindo marcas da comunidade de fala e do estilo individual de cada um. Com relação às produções de fala infantil, nos baseamos em Barros (2012) e propusemos uma tipologia para as produções de fala da criança. Para a emergência da fluência, tomamos como base os autores Scarpa (1995) e Merlo (2006). Segundo Scarpa (1995, p. 7), “a fluência encontra-se presente em pares adjacentes ritualizados, enunciados estereotipados, familiares, congelados, muitas vezes em situação imediata, em expressões que exibem maior estabilidade”. Portanto, buscamos compreender a relação entre a emergência dos gestos, em especial da gesticulação e das produções vocais compondo a fluência multimodal para o processo de aquisição da linguagem. Para este trabalho, analisaremos uma díade mãe-bebê, com idade dos seis aos 24 meses de vida da criança, gravadas em situação naturalística, na casa da díade quinzenalmente.

Thus we work with the multimodal envelope perspective, i.e., the fusion of three components of the dialogism look, gestures and vocal production that emerge simultaneously. We consider the concept of multimodality proposed by McNeill (1985) as a mixture of the gesture-vocal actions. The studies in language acquisition and in nonverbal communication postulate theoretical assumptions about linguistic, paralinguistic and extralinguistic elements in a dissociated way. The first ones had as primacy the observation of interlocutors speech and writing in various contexts. The second type was justified as a complement to the linguistic and the extralinguistic elements were considered as accessories used as aids to the speech. Our results show that the mother uses the multimodal composition to address herself to the child who interacts as she acquires the three basic components of the dialogism. / Esta produção teve como intuito acompanhar a emergência da língua enquanto instância multimodal em contextos de atenção conjunta vividos em situações naturalísticas de duas díades mãe-bebê, dos 07 aos 17 meses de vida da criança. Para isso trabalhamos com a perspectiva de envelope multimodal, ou seja, a mescla de três componentes da dialogia olhar, gestos e produção vocal que emergem concomitantemente. Tomamos como premissa a noção de multimodalidade proposta por McNeill (1985) como sendo a mescla das ações gesto-vocais. Os estudos em aquisição de linguagem e de comunicação não-verbal postulavam aportes teóricos a respeito de elementos lingüísticos, paralingüísticos e extralingüísticos de forma dissociada. Os primeiros tinham como primazia a observação da fala e da escrita de interlocutores em vários contextos. O segundo tipo era justificado como complemento do lingüístico e os elementos extralingüísticos eram considerados como acessórios usados como auxiliares da fala. Nossos resultados mostram que a mãe faz uso do plano de composição multimodal para dirigir-se à criança que, por sua vez, interage à medida que adquire os três componentes básicos da dialogia.
