Peripartaler Stoffwechsel und Nutzungsdauer bei Milchkühen eines Bestandes

Ackermann, Stephanie 05 May 2015 (has links) (PDF)

Grassi, Basile 01 October 2014 (has links)
[...] / Firms are the productive unit of a modern economy. It is where inputs are transformed in goods used for consumption or as inputs for other firms. These firms are numerous and very different from one another. Some are very large, while others are small. These heterogeneous firms face changes in their demand and productivity that shape their dynamics. The growth domestic product (GDP) is the sum of the value added of all the heterogeneous firms that compose an economy. It thus seems natural to think that the dynamics of the GDP is the aggregation of the dynamics of firms. However, the conventional wisdom in the macroeconomics literature, for example the real business cycle (RBC) theory, assumes one representative firm. The dynamics of the aggregate is only driven by a shock that affects the representative firm. This is equivalent to assuming perfectly correlated shocks that affect all the firms of an economy in the same way. […]

The "New" East African community : effects on trade, welfare and productive activities in East Africa

Ng'ang'a, Wanjiru 02 January 2007
This research seeks to examine the effects of the establishment of regional trade agreements (RTAs) among developing nations on trade, welfare and production activities. The focus here is on the new East African Community (EAC) formed between Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania and established in 1999. The formation of the new EAC raises the important question of whether this regionally based trading agreement is of economic merit to its members. This study begins by reviewing trends in regional trade flows and the extent to which regional integration has affected trade patterns and productive activities. Using a gravity model augmented with several sets of dummy variables, I estimate the effect of the EAC-RTA on trade and welfare on members and non-members. The results show that intra-bloc trade is on average 18 times higher than what would be expected in the absence of the agreement. However, this trend does not seem to be influenced by the official lowering of trade barriers with the formation of the EAC. Model results also show a decline in bloc exports to the rest of the world suggesting that the bloc has trade diverting tendencies. Since static gains from the EAC-RTA are quite low, possibly dynamic gains from regional integration lend more support to the economic merit of the EAC.

A Study of Proceeding TPM with Knowledge Management

Lee, Bruce 31 July 2002 (has links)
Facing the advent of knowledge economy in the 21st century, the competitive advantages for enterprises have been transformed from physical land, capital and labor to invisible knowledge. Knowledge has become the most important assets for business. Thus, knowledge management is the most important issue in the age of knowledge economy for enterprises. TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) is based on Preventive Maintenance (PM) system from U.S. PM was first introduced to Japan in 1950s to 1960s, and then transformed to TPM by being added with local notions and concepts. JIPM (Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance) started to promote TPM in Japan since 1971. After TPM was introduced to Taiwan in 1994, it¡¦s been remarkably aware that TPM improved enterprise effectiveness and strengthened the competitive advantages of business as a result of implementation by the enterprises. Employees created amounts of knowledge to solve problems after the enterprise adopted TPM. It helps employees to improve the performance on their jobs. It seems that knowledge management activities are embedded in TPM but has not be evoked enough attention. This research explores the relationships between TPM and knowledge management activities by case study method. The findings present a result that the generation of knowledge is more obvious in TPM, but the repository of knowledge is needed to improve compared with processes of knowledge management activity. The research result may help to provide a concept as a reference for enterprises.
