Consequently, it approaches the professor formation and the linguistics studies. The objective of this work is to contribute with the basic concepts of the theorist point of view on the formation of the Portuguese Language Professor and Linguistics Education. They are specific objectives: 1) to present concepts about Linguistics Education; 2) to analyze the professor formation and the implications in their teaching formation from the formation of the professor of Portuguese Language, establishing the historical trajectory; 3) to propose a sequence Didactic. The theorist recital is placed in the Linguistics Education. The procedure adopted in this research, was theorist-analytical and inductive. It was propose a study of case on the formation of the professor. The gotten result indicated that the continued formation of the professor propitiates reflection of their pedagogical practical. We conclude that the professor formation is basic to insert the professor in the world in constant transformation / Esta dissertação situa-se na linha de pesquisa de Leitura, escrita e ensino de Língua Portuguesa tem por tema a formação do professor e Educação Linguística. Dessa forma, aborda a formação do professor e os estudos linguísticos. O objetivo deste trabalho é contribuir com os conceitos fundamentais do ponto de vista teórico sobre a formação do professor Língua de Portuguesa e Educação Linguística. São objetivos específicos: 1) apresentar conceitos de gênero à luz da Educação Linguística; 2)analisar a formação do professor e as implicações em sua formação docente a partir da formação reflexiva do professor de Língua Portuguesa, estabelecendo o percurso histórico; 3) propor uma Sequência Didática. A fundamentação teórica situa-se na Educação Linguística. O procedimento adotado nesta pesquisa, foi teórico-analítico e indutivo. Foi proposto um estudo de caso sobre a formação do professor. O resultado obtido indicou que a formação continuada do professor propicia reflexão de sua prática pedagógica. Concluímos que a formação do professor é fundamental para inserir o docente no mundo em constante transformação
