It was considered that an opportunity for reflecting about one s own life creates an educational environment, once it aims to invite youth to their responsibility before themselves and the world. Hanna Arendt s thoughts directed the insight towards the educational issue. It was an interference research done in the context of Psycho Educational Duty Service based on the existential phenomenological reference Two months after the Youth Duty Services and listening to four adolescents, two stories were chosen that showed the educational character of this practice. The issues brought by the Youth were referred to existential choices and their relationship with the world and with the future. The Duty Service sowed itself as an opportunity for those young people to be involved with their future looking for new exits, seen at the beginning inescapable, through dialog and reflection. Non violence was perceived and analyzed as derived of the reflection possibility. This research aimed contributing to the development of educational practices directed to youth, based on the report of dialogues that took place during the Duty Service and by the reflection, about the educational issue indicated above initiated by this procedure / O presente estudo teve como objetivo compreender como o Plantão Psicoeducativo poderia oferecer uma oportunidade de reflexão para jovens moradores de uma periferia da cidade de São Paulo. Considerou-se que a oportunidade de reflexão sobre a própria vida, constitui uma situação educativa uma vez que busca convidar o jovem para sua responsabilidade diante de si e do mundo. O pensamento de Hannah Arendt orientou o olhar para a questão educativa. Foi uma pesquisa intervenção realizada no contexto de Plantões Psicoeducativos embasada no referencial fenomenológico-existencial. Depois de dois meses de realização dos Plantões para jovens e de encontros com quatro adolescentes, foram escolhidas duas histórias que apontaram o caráter educativo dessa prática. As questões trazidas pelos jovens referiam-se a escolhas existenciais e às suas relações com o mundo e com o futuro. O Plantão mostrou-se como uma oportunidade daqueles jovens sentirem-se implicados com seus futuros, buscando novas saídas para os mesmos, vistos, inicialmente, como inelutáveis, por meio do diálogo e da reflexão. Verificou-se e analisou-se uma não-violência derivada da possibilidade de reflexão. Esta pesquisa buscou contribuir para o desenvolvimento de práticas educativas direcionadas a jovens, a partir do relato dos diálogos realizados nos Plantões e da reflexão, sobre a questão educativa apontada anteriormente, que o mesmo desencadeou
