A tese defendida é que o Estado como responsável pela garantia da saúde dos cidadãos brasileiros, conforme preconizado na Constituição de 1988 e reiterado pela Lei Orgânica da Saúde (LOS) como direito constituído, em decorrência de uma orientação econômica neoliberal que foi implantada no país a partir de 1990, tem se afastado da efetivação da política pública da saúde e transferido para a sociedade e para as famílias responsabilidades nos cuidados nesta área. Esta pesquisa foi realizada no Assentamento 17 de Abril localizado na fazenda Boa Sorte, no município de Restinga-São Paulo (SP). Os sujeitos foram as mulheres assentadas, protagonistas de uma história de luta na busca pela terra e condições de vida dignas. A opção de se investigar as mulheres inseridas no contexto de assentamento foi no sentido de tentar compreender se, esta sobrecarga de trabalho historicamente atribuídas às mulheres tinha ressonância nas mulheres moradoras em área rural, e que tiveram uma trajetória de embates na luta pela terra. As entrevistas foram realizadas com seis mulheres, selecionadas de forma intencional com os critérios de elegibilidade conforme descrito na metodologia deste trabalho. A pesquisa estendeu-se a uma auxiliar de enfermagem que desenvolve suas funções no equipamento de saúde denominado de Programa de Saúde da Família (PSF) na busca de maior compreensão da estruturação deste serviço no respectivo assentamento. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de cunho qualitativo que busca conhecer o cotidiano vivenciado pelas mulheres inseridas na área rural e usuárias da política pública de saúde / Abstract:This study aims the women overloading work analysis in what concerns to the care of her and her family's health. The defined thesis is that the State as responsible for the health guarantee of the Brazilian citizens, as extolled in the Constitution of 1988 and reiterated by the Organic Law of Health (OLH) as a constituted right, in occurrence of a neoliberal economic orientation that was introduced in the country since 1990, has moved itself away from the efficient public health politics and transferred to the society and to the families responsibilities in the care o the area. This research was done in the Assentamento 17 de Abril localized in the Boa Sorte farm, in the city of Restinga - São Paulo (SP). The subjects were the fixed women, protagonists of a fight history in the search of the earth and deserving conditions of life. The option of investigating the women inserted in the context of registration was is the sense of trying to comprehend if, this working overload historically attributed to the women has resonance in the women living in the rural area, and that had a trajectory of clashes in the fight for the earth. The interviews were done with six women, selected in an intentional way with the criteria of eligibility according described in the methodology of this work. The research extended itself to a nurse auxiliary that develops her functions in the health equipment denominated Programa de Saúde da Família (PSF) in the search of a bigger comprehension of this service structure in the respective registration. It is a quantitative research that aims to know the quotidian lived by the women inserted in the rural area and users of the public health politics. It was used open interviews with oriented questions. It was opted the content analysis, moment in which were elected the categories that could favor the comprehension of this reality / Doutor
