Among the external causes, the falls wake up great interest as research source for professionals of the health. The falls can be caused by intrinsic factors, related to the senior s physical and mental health, and for extrinsic factors, related available to the environment where the senior lives. The falls can take the senior to the functional dependence, besides they represent one of the main death causes. It is considerable the number of seniors that you/they drop and that they radically change its daily life, so much for the hurts caused by the fall, as for the fear of new falls. The objective of this work went evidence the possible factors of falls in the senior homes of 95 that participate in the Program of the Health of the Family, in the Distrito Leste of the Municipal district of Goiânia. As instrument of collection of data was used a constituted form of two parts: an interview, including a balance test - "Timed Up and Go" - and a watched form of the home atmosphere. The comparison among the patients that dropped and the ones that didn't drop in relation to the intrinsic and extrinsic factors it was analyzed being used the tests Kruskal Wallis and ANOVA. Was it chosen a limit of p< 0,05 to define significant statistical difference in the results. It was evidenced that the runner, the bathroom, the room of TV and the senior's room were the atmospheres that more presented possible factors for falls, factors these that could be eliminated or minimized.
