O setor florestal tem grande importância econômica na formação do PIB interno do Brasil e o reflorestamento contribui para a redução do desmatamento das florestas nativas. A demanda crescente pela cultura do eucalipto exige do setor florestal a busca pela competitividade, e essa competitividade está associada à produtividade. A produção do eucalipto é uma atividade complexa que envolve inúmeras variáveis interligadas e o bom desempenho dessas variáveis garante o sucesso da cultura. Nesse contexto o planejamento do processo produtivo é de fundamental importância para definir as variáveis que podem influir no desenvolvimento das arvores e consequentemente na produtividade e assim contribuir na otimização dos recursos. Para tanto, é necessário conhecer as demandas da cultura definindo as variáveis que podem influenciar tanto na produtividade quanto na qualidade. Com isso, o objetivo principal do trabalho foi identificar as características técnicas prioritárias para atender as exigências das operações silviculturais para a produção de eucalipto e avaliar se essas características estão sendo atendidas dentro dos padrões necessários na fase de execução dos processos. A metodologia empregada foi a função desdobramento da qualidade (QFD) tendo como cliente o eucalipto. O trabalho foi realizado na Companhia Suzano de Papel e Celulose, localizada no Estado de São Paulo, BR. A metodologia permitiu traduzir as demandas do eucalipto em características técnicas, 79 no total, e os valores a serem atribuídos a essas características devem ser avaliados, devido às correlações existentes entre elas. Essas correlações podem trazer benefícios quando positivas, mas também podem influenciar negativamente o desenvolvimento da cultura. Com base nos resultados da identificação das características técnicas prioritárias, a profundidade de subsolagem e a qualidade do plantio foram avaliadas a campo em duas áreas, localizadas na região de Itirapina e Agudos no estado de São Paulo. Os resultados mostram que embora as profundidades de subsolagem atendem ao especificado, o processo não está sob controle. Já para a qualidade do plantio o processo está sob controle nas áreas avaliadas. / The forestry sector is one of the primary sectors that contribute significantly to the Brazilian GDP and reforestation contributes to the reduction of deforestation of native forests in the country. The growing demand for eucalyptus crop requires the forestry sector to be competitive, and this competitiveness is associated with productivity. Eucalyptus production is a complex activity that includes several interrelated variables, and the good performance of these variables ensures the success of the crop. In this context the planning of the productive process is fundamental importance to define the variables that can influence the development of the trees and consequently in the productivity and thus contribute with the optimization of the resources. To define the variables that can influence both productivity and quality, it is necessary to know the crop demand. Therefore, the main objective of this study was to identify the priority technical characteristics in order to meet the silvicultural operations requirements for eucalyptus production, and to evaluate whether or not these characteristics meet the standards in the process execution phase. The methodology used was the quality function deployment (QFD), and the customer was the eucalyptus. The search was carried out at Suzano Pulp and Paper Company, located in the State of São Paulo, Brazil. The demand for eucalyptus was converted into technical characteristics, 79 total, and the values to be attributed to these characteristics should be evaluated, due to the correlation between them. These correlations can bring benefits when positive, but they can also negatively impact the development of the crop. The results obtained from the priority technical characteristics show that the subsoiling depth and the quality of the planting were evaluated in the field in two areas in the region of Itirapina and Agudos in the state of São Paulo. The outcomes show that although the subsoiling depths meet the specified depths, the process is not under control. On the other hand, in regards to the quality of the planting, the process is under control.
