DATA ACQUISITION, ANALYSIS, AND SIMULATION SYSTEM (DAAS)

Baca, Dawnielle C. 10 1900 (has links)
International Telemetering Conference Proceedings / October 17-20, 1994 / Town & Country Hotel and Conference Center, San Diego, California / The Data Acquisition, Analysis, and Simulation System (DAAS) is a computer system designed to allow data sources on spacecraft in the Flight System Testbed (FST) to be monitored, analyzed, and simulated. This system will be used primarily by personnel in the Flight System Testbed, flight project designers, and test engineers to investigate new technology that may prove useful across many flight projects. Furthermore, it will be used to test various spacecraft design possibilities during prototyping. The basic capabilities of the DAAS involve unobtrusively monitoring various information sources on a developing spacecraft. This system also provides the capability to generate simulated data in appropriate formats at a given data rate, and to inject this data onto the communication line or bus, using the necessary communication protocol. The DAAS involves Serial RS232/RS422, Ethernet, and MIL-STD-1553 communication protocols, as well as LabVIEW software, VME hardware, and SunOS/UNIX operating systems.

Konstruktion av PID-reglerad motorstyrning

Renn, Daniel January 2008 (has links)
This bachelor thesis describes the design of a unit the function of which is to regulate, using PID controls, a linear mechanical adjusting screw coupled to a variable venturi flow system. The design criteria has been to create, in a test rig, a venturi control system that gives an output that is not affected by changes in either air temperature or pressure. The test rig is used for the development of Varivent, a product used to reduce the environmental impact of the internal combustion engine. In my thesis work I describe the various and necessary elements of the project. These can be termed inputs, outputs, microprocessors, regulators and communicators. I discuss the difficulties and possibilities associated with the design criteria and mention the components used and their different attributes. The most challenging part of the project has been the design of the PID regulator, which, whilst being the heart of the system, has also been the most difficult part of the system to design. Finally I discuss my results where, in an analysis, I see that I could have made things easier for myself had I approached the problems in other ways but that the final result was, despite this, very satisfactory.</p>

Systém Hefaistos / The Hefaistos System

Mancl, Vlastimil January 2019 (has links)
This master's thesis describes functionality and principle of the Hefaistos measurement system, which is fully automated and modular. Its purpose is to measure frequency responses of materials and its temperature dependence. The thesis describes all the necessary parts of the modular measurement system. Main part of this system is the control application programmed in LabVIEW software environment. Another necessary parts are impedance analyzers for acquiring frequency dependencies and heating chambers for heating measured materials. The control application ensures hardware synchronization between impedance analyzers and heating chambers. Together they create the Hefaistos system. Modularity of the system means that a user may choose which instrument combination will be used. The system offers choice between three impedance analyzers Agilent 4294A, Wayne Kerr 6520B and HIOKI 3532 LCR Hi-Tester and two heating chambers AOIP GEMINI 700 LRI and AOIP HYPERION. Possibilities of the Hefaistos system are demonstrated on the results of an example measurement.
