Random Stream Cipher

Aghaee, Saeed January 2007 (has links)

Stream ciphers are counted as an important part of symmetric encryption method. Their basic idea comes from One-Time-Pad cipher using XOR operator on the plain text and the key to generate the cipher. The present work brings a new idea in symmetric encryption method, which inherits stream key generation idea from synchronous stream cipher and uses division instead of xoring. The Usage of division to combine the plain text with stream key gives numerous abilities to this method that the most important one is using random factors to produce the ciphers.

Statistical Assessment of Uncertainties Pertaining to Uniaxial Vibration Testing and Required Test Margin for Fatigue Life Verification

Banadaki, Davood Dehgan, Durmush, Sunay Sami, Zahiri, Sharif January 2013 (has links)
In the automotive industry uniaxial vibration testing is a common method used to predict the lifetime of components. In reality truck components work under multiaxial loads meaning that the excitation is multiaxial. A common method to account for the multiaxial effect is to apply a safety margin to the uniaxial test results. The aim of this work is to find a safety margin between the uniaxial and multiaxial testing by means of virtual vibration testing and statistical methods. Additionally to the safety margin the effect of the fixture’s stiffness on the resulting stress in components has been also investigated.

Extension of the cross-classified multiple membership growth curve model for longitudinal data

Li, Jie, active 2013 05 December 2013 (has links)
Student mobility is a common phenomenon in longitudinal data in educational research. The characteristics of education longitudinal data create a problem for the conventional multilevel model. Grady and Beretvas (2010) introduced a cross-classified multiple membership growth curve (CCMM-GCM) model to handle Student mobility over time by capturing complex higher level clustering structure in the data. There are some limitations in the CCMM-GCM model. By creating dummy coded indicators for each measurement occasion, the new model can improve the accuracy and provides an easier and more flexible structure at the higher level. This study provides some support that the new model better fits a dataset than the CCMM-GCM model / text
