The techniques of the content analysis and framing analysis has been used to capture the types of orientation that structure the news. The theme is bras in the mass media and this space of discussion supply one ample possibility of negotiation and political and social legitimacy of the interests of black people in Brazil. / Ultimamente, a questão racial adquiriu centralidade no contexto brasileiro, devido à mobilização em torno do tema das políticas públicas específicas, ou ação afirmativa . Esse tema é fundamental, pois propõe uma reorientação no sentido das relações sociais com base na raça e cor. Nesse contexto, a mídia impressa tem sido uma importante esfera de abordagem sobre a temática da ação afirmativa. A captação das percepções e representações fornecida pela imprensa escrita nacional constitui-se fonte de investigação dessa pesquisa. As técnicas de análise de conteúdo e de enquadramento foram usadas para captar os tipos de orientação que estruturam as notícias. O tema está na pauta jornalística e esse espaço de discussão fornece uma ampla possibilidade de negociação e legitimidade política e social dos interesses da população negra no Brasil.
