Este artículo presenta los resultados de una investigación realizada durante el año 2019 en el Perú en torno a los roles y estereotipos en los docentes varones de la educación primaria peruana. El estudio explora las causas de dicho fenómeno a través de un enfoque cualitativo, a partir de entrevistas a un grupo de docentes de espacios rurales y urbanos del Perú. Luego de un análisis inductivo, los principales hallazgos apuntan a la presencia de roles y estereotipos de género con ciertos matices según el contexto rural y urbano. / This article presents the results of an investigation carried out during 2019 in Peru regarding the roles and stereotypes in male teachers of Peruvian primary education. The study explores the causes of this phenomenon through a qualitative approach, based on interviews with a group of teachers from rural and urban spaces in Peru. After an inductive analysis, the main findings point to the presence of gender roles and stereotypes with certain nuances depending on the rural and urban context. / Trabajo de investigación
