Therefore, we brought the thoughts of Zygmunt Bauman towards a liquid modernity, showing the relevant traits of the society in which the law, that we believe to be equally liquid, is inserted. The notion of resilience, in its constitutional framework, was brought to the thesis as a particular phenomenon of this society, since we argue that the existence of constitutional resilience is only possible in the context of liquid modernity. To verify the incidence, in the Brazilian constitutional context, of this hypothesis, we firstly show the functions of constitutional courts and, then, suggest the existence of a resilient function. Finally, we look at some case studies to investigate the occurrence of resilience in the Brazilian Supreme Court, suggesting to the reader reflection regarding the performance of this Court towards the demands of our society / Nesta tese, abordamos a atuação do Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF) na sociedade contemporânea, estabelecendo suas características com a finalidade de identificar, no órgão, a incidência de uma função resiliente, além da tradicional função de guardião da Constituição. Para tanto, trouxemos a concepção de Zygmunt Bauman para a modernidade líquida, apresentando os traços relevantes da sociedade na qual se insere o direito, que defendemos ser igualmente líquido. A noção de resiliência, em seu âmbito constitucional, foi trazida à tese como fenômeno particular dessa sociedade, uma vez que defendemos que a existência de resiliência constitucional apenas é possível no contexto de modernidade líquida. Para verificar a incidência, no contexto constitucional brasileiro atual, desta hipótese, primeiramente apontamos as funções dos tribunais constitucionais e sugerimos a existência de uma função resiliente. Em seguida, analisamos alguns casos práticos para averiguar a ocorrência de resiliência no STF, sugerindo ao leitor a reflexão a propósito da atuação desse Tribunal face às demandas de nossa sociedade líquida
