Lecture analytique et textes poétiques résistants : études sur les pratiques didactiques d'analyse des textes littéraires en classe de troisième / Analytical reading and Resistance poetry : Study of educational analysis techniques of literary texts in Year 10

Cazorla, Severine 28 September 2015 (has links)
After underlining the complex evolution of teaching literature at Secondary school level, and the current difficulties faced when teaching the official syllabus, particularily as far as analytical reading is concerned, this study reveals the educational benefits of teaching Resistance poetry. An experiment carried out with Year 10 pupils, and the analysis of their reader's texts enables us to assess the educational importance of the study of Resistance poetry. Indeed, the characteristic indetermination zones create a motivational dynamic and stimulate interpretational efforts amongst the pupils. The prolific constraints of this type of text encourage a « dialectic » and plural literary reading of the text, contributing to the understanding of the notion of literary interpretation. The encounter with Resistance poetry appears then to be a valuable experience, encouraging pupils to progress and become more independent.

The Dance of the Spinning Top: Translating Resistance in the Poetry of Muyaka

Prins, Richard 05 June 2023 (has links)
The 19th-century Swahili poet Muyaka bin Haji al-Ghassaniy composed several poems in opposition to the Omani Empire’s invasion of his native Mombasa. In this paper, I focus on one such poem, “Ngoma ya Kizungup’ia”, which has not been studied as comprehensively as many others. I unpack the cultural, choreographic, and poetic significance of the kiumbizi dance form, which serves as one of its central tropes. In light of Muyaka’s poetic invocation of this dance and the historical, political and performative context of 19th-century Swahili war poetry, I apply the rhetorical and literary framework of Signifyin(g) to gain a deeper understanding of the political intentions and poetic execution of Muyaka’s resistance poetry, as distinguished contextually and ideologically from his earlier war dialogue poems. Finally, I reflect on my own experience translating the poem into English using methods of creative transposition, and conclude that the inextricability of the poem's hermeneutic and poetic values renders it especially difficult to translate.

The main focus of this research includes Vieira s thoughts, related to Poetic Resistance and Utopia. Furthermore, we consider some of his biggest questions and cartographic influences of his authorial outsiderismo with readers, in the context of seventeenth-century baroque. The main body of research is the set of Vieira s letters, called Cartas do Brasil, as a Rhetoric Map in development, as a continuous synthesis of its official correspondence with royalty, colonial society and the Company of Jesus, which was admitted member. Therefore, it is from this corpus that we can verify their theories, perspectives, and the very root of Brazilian Literature Information. The main target of this dissertation is to understand his ideas, resistances and utopias, or the reasons that make Padre Vieira, prefer a libertarian position to the pacific Ignatian Letter Writing Pact. These and other questions are based on the theoretical line of Alfredo Bosi (the Resistance) and Thomas Moore (as the universal basis of Utopia). This research finds that the key to understanding the Vieira s great poetic strength is his outsiderism, alma-mater of his rhetorical strategies / Este estudo pretende analisar alguns aspectos da Arte Epistolar de Antônio Vieira.
