Due to its advantages, reinforced concrete ribbed slabs have been consolidated as an excellent alternative to compose buildings floors. The present research deals with this type of slab, disseminating its constructive characteristics, variations, structural behavior and the main recommendations proposed by different authors and addressing to all potential users (designers, constructors, contractors); recommendations, calculation methods to determine the internal forces and displacements, design and construction procedures according to the Brazilian code of practice NBR 6118:2003 are presented. Additionally, illustrative examples with the calculation, the detailing and the verifications of the serviceability limit state (crack width and extreme deformation) are presented. Finally, the results obtained from the examples simulating ribbed slabs in two directions are compared with the results obtained from the consideration of a massive slab. / A procura de soluções que sejam simples e ao mesmo tempo eficazes, tragam redução de custos, rapidez e versatilidade nas aplicações é crescente na construção civil. Em virtude de apresentarem uma série de vantagens, as lajes nervuradas de concreto armado têm se firmado como excelente solução para a construção de pavimentos de edificações. Neste trabalho aborda-se este tipo de lajes, divulgando suas características, opções construtivas, funcionamento e comportamento estrutural e as principais recomendações propostas por autores a todos os potenciais usuários (projetistas, construtores, proprietários); apresentam-se as ecomendações da NBR 6118:2003 que entrou em vigor recentemente, os processos de cálculo usualmente empregados para a determinação dos esforços solicitantes e deslocamentos transversais, roteiros com indicações gerais sobre o projeto e construção, e exemplos ilustrativos com o cálculo, o detalhamento e as verificações do estado limite de serviço (fissuração e deformação excessiva). Comparam-se os resultados obtidos simulando as lajes nervuradas armadas em duas direções como grelha com os obtidos admitindo-as como laje maciça.

This study has as objective to analyze, comparativily, the costs between the conventional structural systems and the rib slabs structural systems in reinforced concrete. Part of the estimated one that had to the great number of structural systems found in the market of the civil construction the professionals they need to opt to one determined type. But many times the adopted choice is not adjusted to the enterprise because each workmanship has characteristics particular architectural, making it difficult the use of a model standard. The work initially brings basic concepts on the subject and a revision bibliographic approaching the criterion of projects, the characteristics and the particularitities of the adopted systems. After that, one becomes the launching and analysis of the structure for the chosen structural systems, getting the quantitative ones of materials, which they see to form the indices defined for comparison. The total costs of the workmanship gotten by means of compositions of prices had been compared arriving itself it a global value for each adopted kind. For that, a building of offices is adopted as object of analysis of this work. And finally makes a comparative analysis on the basis of the unitary costs of each alternative leading in consideration the materials, necessary hand of workmanship and equipment. / Este estudo tem como objetivo analisar, comparativamente, os custos entre os sistemas estruturais convencionais e os sistemas estruturais de lajes nervuradas em concreto armado. Parte do pressuposto que devido ao grande número de sistemas estruturais encontrados no mercado da construção civil os profissionais precisam optar por um determinado tipo. Só que muitas vezes a escolha adotada não é a mais adequada ao empreendimento. Isso porque, cada obra tem características arquitetônicas particulares, dificultando a utilização de um modelo padrão. O trabalho inicialmente traz conceitos básicos sobre o tema e uma revisão bibliografia abordando os critérios de projetos, as características e as particularidades dos sistemas adotados. Em seguida, faz-se o lançamento e análise da estrutura para os sistemas estruturais escolhidos, obtendo-se os quantitativos de materiais, os quais vêem a formar os índices definidos para comparação. Foram comparados os custos totais da obra obtidos por meio de composições de preços chegando-se a um valor global para cada tipologia adotada. Para isso, adota-se um edifício de escritórios como objeto de análise desse trabalho. E por último faz uma análise comparativa com base nos custos unitários de cada alternativa levando em consideração os materiais, mão de obra e equipamentos necessários.
