Robot Vacuum cleaner / Robotdammsugare

Bergman, Joel, Lind, Johan January 2019 (has links)
Although a robot vacuum cleaner is a well-known product, development is still interesting. Better working sensors and more sophisticated algorithms and sensors are used in new cleaners. The purpose with this thesis was to learn more about different sensors, algorithms, and designs of robot vacuum cleaners, to try ideas and to find improvements to implement on the demonstrator. The initial work was to make a market investigation to find customer needs and expectations. Also making a rough design and layout for the mechanical and electrical system. The budget for the demonstrator was 1000 SEK. Using laser cut plastic sheets, 3D printed parts, and receiving motors for free, costs did not exceed budget. Literature and theses in the area of interest were studied to find answers to some of the research questions. The theses studied subjects such as driving pattern and designs to find back to charge station. Some ideas for driving patterns were implemented on a demonstrator. The development method used was iteration of finding useful information, testing components, codes and also the complete demonstrator. The components used were DC motor, stepper motors, ultrasonic sensors, Arduino mega micro controller, switches and AA batteries. The different components required different voltage and the stepper motors used driver cards.

Návrh koncového efektoru pro kolaborativní robot / Design of end effector for collaborative robot

Taoufik, Ismael January 2020 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with design of end effector for collaborative robot which manipulates with RFID labels. The first part of this thesis is theoretical and deals with collaborative robots and end effector for these collaborative robots. The second part of this thesis is practical and begins with selecting the suitable collaborative robot to tackle this issue and then there are presented several variants of end effectors where is again chosen the suitable one. In the next step there are made design calculations for the chosen variant followed by verifications consisted of practical tests of functionality and CFD simulation. According to made verifications is developed the final construction solution of the chosen end effector variant that includes a commentary about the construction documentation. The next step consists of making risk analysis used for reducing the risks leading to increase the workplace safety. In the last part is made an estimation of the cost of eventual production of one piece of the end effector protype.

IoT Offensive Security Penetration Testing : Hacking a Smart Robot Vacuum Cleaner

Larsson Forsberg, Albin, Olsson, Theodor January 2019 (has links)
IoT devices can be found in almost any type of situation as the availability and viability of them has surged in the last decade with technological advancements. The purpose of this project is to investigate how secure these types of devices, in particular a robot vacuum cleaner, actually are if an ill intended actor tries to interfere with the device. Different methods used in the sphere of threat modeling and penetration testing were applied and tested with the result coming back positive. The robot vacuum cleaner was successfully compromised and the privacy of the owner could be violated applying the attacks used. The current way of thinking about privacy and security of IoT devices could therefore need to be reviewed.

Ethical hacking of a premium robot vacuum : Penetration testing of the Roborock S7 robot vacuum cleaner / Etiskt hackande av en högkvalitativ robotdammsugare : Penetrationstestande av robotdammsugaren Roborock S7

Dahlberg Sundström, Tobias, Nilsson, Johan January 2022 (has links)
With the advancements made in the field of data science, smart IoT devices are be-coming increasingly common. Consequently, this creates an increased number of targets for hackers to potentially exploit. This is a study about ethically hacking a robot vacuum, the Roborock S7, and evaluating the security of the target system. The DREAD and Stride threat models are used in order to find potential exploits. These exploits are then tested on the vacuum. Four tests were done on the system: scan-ning, denial-of-service attack, man-in-the-middle sniffing and man-in-the-middle tampering. The study found that the vacuum is relatively secure against web threats with weaknesses found surrounding its handling of its own network and lack of re-sistance to denial-of-service attacks on the DHCP protocol.
