the influence on mechaincal properties of rolled pure nickel at low temperature

Lee, Tsun-jen 10 August 2004 (has links)
Wang etc. find that when abnormal grain growth has volume fraction of 25% of coarser grain (bimodal structure), the material can exhibit high strength and high tensile ductility. We will find that if Ni has the same properties. The conclusion show that after 95% reduction at liguid nitrogen temperature and under different annealing temperature, when strength growth, then tensile ductility down. And we also measure hardness, stress-strain curve, and morphology after 95% reduction in Ni.And LBs spacing is closer, LBs misorientation is not variation a lot when rolling at low temperature then in room temperature.

Finite Element Simulations on Complex Rolling of Sandwich Sheets and Experimental Study on Hot Complex of Sandwich Sheet Rolling

Chien, Wen-Liang 17 July 2000 (has links)
Abstract This paper investigates plastic deformation of sheets at the roll-gap in complex rolling of sandwich sheets unbonding before rolling by Finite Element Simulation approaches. The effects of reduction, thickness ratio of inner layer and total thickness at the entrance, rolling force and exit curvature are discussed systematically. Furthermore, the FEM predictions are compared with experimental results and they are in good agreement. Sandwich sheets combined from aluminum and copper sheets are employed to carry out experiments of hot rolling of sandwich sheets. Further, at high temperature, the bonding strength decreases.

Finite Element Analysis during Shape Rolling Processes

Sheu, Yann-Jong 19 July 2000 (has links)
Finite Element Analysis during Shape Rolling Processes ABSTRACT This paper used three-dimensional finite element code-deform to analyze the deformation behavior of material at the rolling-gap during shape rolling of T-profiled and H-profiled sheet. The rigid-plastic model was used. The rolls are assumed to be rigid body and the change of temperate during rolling is ignored. In T-profiled sheet rolling, 1-pass and 2-pass rolling were included. There-dimensional deformation of the sheet was analyzed and the filling ratio at the roll gap, the spread of the sheet, rolling force, the curvature of products were predicted etc. Comparison between analytical and experimental results was made to verify the suitability of the DEFORM software. In H-profiled sheet rolling , the stress, strain, velocity distribution of material was investigated and the filling ratio was analyzed at the H shape flange during the different reductions. These results can offer knowledge for the design of actual H-profiled sheet rolling.
