ČIHÁKOVÁ, Bohumila January 2014 (has links)
The aim of the thesis "International trade with strategically important commodities focused on crude oil" was archieved by analysis of current situation of trade with strategically important commodities focused on crude oil. Based on this analysis was integrated the Czech Republic in the internation trade with crude oil, how the state is affected by this trade and the prospect of further development of international trade with crude oil. At first was studied the theoretical solutions, which help to compose literary research. Terms as international trade, commodities, strategic commodities and crude oil were defined in this part of thesis. The attantion in another part of thesis was focused on the analysis the crude oil market. There were detected the most important world crude oil producers, states with the largest crude oil reserves, the largest consumers of oil, the major exportersv and importers of this strategic commodity and compared the world oil pruduction with crude oil consumption. The possible development of consumption and production in 2035 was also in this part outlined. Current situation on the crude oil market in the Czech Republic in 2012 showed that there are not significant crude oil reserves which would cover the consumption of the population in the country. It follows that the Czech Republic is dependent on crude oil import from Russian Federation, which may arise a varior international risks such as disruption of crude oil supplies, the use of crude oil as a political weapon or conflicts between states.

Korelační analýza vztahu vývoje ceny ropy a četnosti teroristických útoků v Evropě / Correlation analysis of the relationship of oil price development and frequency of terrorist attacks in Europe

ORTHOVÁ, Nikola January 2018 (has links)
The threat of terrorist attacks in Europe is a very topical issue that greatly affects all of Europe's population, their trust in the European Community, especially the economy, both nationally and globally. One of the most prominent economic indicators is the price of oil and petroleum products, from which the price of fuel depends on the price of fuel. The price of fuel is the price of most products and services. Thus, the overall living standard of the population and the value of money as a whole. But it would be a mistake to think that terrorism is the only element that affects the price of oil. The purpose of terrorist attacks is primarily to intimidate the population through violence or the threat of violence for the purpose of their religious, political or other goals. In order for the term terrorism to be better grasped, it is necessary to define it with regard to other types of combat. Also define some related concepts, such as a terrorist group. In addition, there is a small list of terrorist organizations operating in Europe. And also an overview of selected terrorist attacks in Europe, their brief description. The handling of all terrorist attacks in Europe would mean more than 8,000 incidents, so only the most serious ones, as well as those with some special facts, have been described. The aim of this work was to demonstrate that terrorism has an impact on economic indicators. This was accomplished through statistical analyzes

Citlivost ceny ropy na ekonomické indikátory / Sensitivity of Oil Prices to Economic Indicators

Cinert, Vojtěch January 2017 (has links)
The thesis deals with the analysis of the oil market with emphasis on the period from 2010 to May 2017. The aim of the thesis is to test the sensitivity of the oil price to the selected fundamental indicators and trading positions of the traders according to CFTC data. The work, in addition to the theoretical introduction, contains information on key fundamentals such as US oil production, the process of publishing reports on the state of oil stocks in the US, and the process of publishing reports on oil market traders' positions and subsequent data analysis. It confirmed that the price of oil correlates significantly with traders' positions, but the Granger test suggested that the change in the price of oil is causally affecting the position of traders and not vice versa.

Perspektívy vývoja na trhu s ropou / Perpectives of crude oil market developement

Vosková, Michala January 2008 (has links)
Crude oil is an important commodity of world trade and it has become an essential part of everyday life. It is a necessary condition of economic growth, which in the current situation of economic boom of China, India and other developing countries entails an economically, ecologically, socially and geopolitically unsustainable problem. The turbulent sequence of past events on the crude oil market only foreshadows the future development that is going to occure after achieving the crude oil production peak. The following irreversible changes will be more revolutionary than evolutional. The era of cheap oil will parish and the 21st century is going to be distinguished by fights for energy and resources. This is one of the reasons why many renowned institutions and organisations are concerned with these questions, trying to predict future scenarios and find feasible solutions. The world needs secure, renewable and environmentally friendly energy sources, however crude oil is unfortunately none of them. Radical transition from crude oil economy to a clean alternative one, that is probably the most suitable solution to current situation, will require engagement of governments, organisations and individuals as well. It is an inevitable step of preserving the world for humanity and the coming generations. Crude oil market perspectives are quite well foreseeable for the coming decades, questionable remains only the proper solution of the rising problems and action of taking the correct steps in the right direction.

Odhad cenové elasticity poptávky po ropě / Estimation of price elasticity of crude oil demand

Jonák, Ondřej January 2009 (has links)
Objective of this diploma thesis is estimation of price elasticity of crude oil demand. In order to calculation of such elasticity crude oil demand is estimated with econometrical methods. The choice of suitable model, which sufficiently and accurately models crude oil demand, is initial position of analysis. Consequently, crude oil demand is estimated from market data obtainable from public sources. This estimated model is verified from economic, statistic and econometric point of view.
