Orientador: Ana Lúcia de Castro / Banca: Alexandre Barbosa Pereira / Banca: Edmundo Antonio Peggion / Resumo: A presente etnografia destina-se a uma investigação das lutas identitárias entre os góticos na cidade de São Paulo, com o foco na compreensão das criações culturais no cerne das disputas simbólicas Neste sentido, o objetivo da pesquisa é investigar as relações de sociabilidade e os processos culturais na contemporaneidade, envolvendo os sentidos atribuídos às relações e ao espaço material da cidade por meio das interações e das práticas culturais, no contexto do agrupamento dos góticos na metrópole paulistana. Entendendo assim, "cidade" enquanto um sistema cultural responsável por colocar atores sociais culturalmente heterogêneos em contato, tornando a "cidade viva", processual e contextual. A etnografia baseia-se nas chaves analíticas da antropologia da cidade, mobilizando os conceitos de "citadino", "situação", "rede", "fronteiras" e "lugares", observando as interações de góticos nos espaços de sociabilidade. "Geração", "moral" e "consumo" são os principais marcadores identitários agenciados nos processos de interação entre os góticos, atribuindo sentidos às relações de "proximidade" e "distância" às experiências urbanas dos góticos em São Paulo. As lutas identitárias revelam uma relação nostálgica com o espaço urbano, fundamental para "ser gótico" na década de 1990 e que atualmente se expressa com novos sentidos, agenciados pelos góticos da nova geração, estabelecendo uma relação estratégica com o uso dos espaços da cidade, por meio de encontros organizados no ciberespaço,... (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: The present ethnography is intended to investigate the identity boundaries among goths in the city of São Paulo. With the focus on understanding cultural creations at the heart of symbolic disputes, research aims to investigate sociability relationships and cultural processes in the contemporary world, involving the meanings attributed to the relations and the material space of the city through interactions and cultural practices, in the context of the grouping of goths in the metropolis of São Paulo. Through the understanding of the "city" as a cultural system responsible for putting into contact with culturally heterogeneous social actors, making the "city alive", procedural and contextual, ethnography is based on the analytical keys of the city anthropology, as with the concepts of "city", "situation" and "network". "Generation", "moral" and "consumption" are the main identity markers in the processes of interaction between the Gothic, attributing meanings to the relations of "proximity" and "distance" to the urban experiences of goths in São Paulo.
