Approche d’ingénierie systèmes pour l’intégration de la fabricabilité dans le processus de conception des systèmes mécatroniques / Systems engineering approach for the integration of manufacturability in the design process of mechatronic systems

Borchani, Mohamed 03 July 2019 (has links)
Pour l’étude de la fabricabilité des systèmes complexes, nous avons développé un autre modèle intitulé « Model Based for Manufacturability analysis » / The originality of our work is to develop an approach that integrates model-based systems engineering (MBSE) with the principles of the SBCE approach to reduce iterative loops between inexperienced designers, manufacturers, and experts. Other stakeholders are also involved in product development to ensure simultaneous engineering environment. This approach offers great potential for managing manufacturability and reliability aspects, due to the ability to develop parallel knowledge, especially for advanced and non-mature technologies. The advantage of using SBCE principles is to provide opportunities for communication between stakeholders early in the design phase. SysML is used as a descriptive language to represent the different phases of this approach. To study the robustness of these systems, we have developed a model called "Model Based for Robustness Analysis" (MBRA) which aims to filter low or expensive solutions over time and to assist the system engineer when adopting a trade-offs study. For the assessment of the manufacturability of complex systems, we have developed another model entitled "Model Based for Manufacturability analysis"

Viktiga faktorer produktutveckling enligt set based concurrent engineering / Important factors when developing products using set based concurrent engineering

Häkkinen, Markus January 2016 (has links)
Product development usually has the same general approach: A specification for a new product is provided to the product development department from the marketing department. Product developers then generate concepts which are developed into prototypes before the products are manufactured and sold. The procedure usually differs by the use of different models such as Lean product development or integrated product development in the process. The part of Lean product development (LPD) that is used when developing concepts is called set based concurrent engineering (SBCE) and these are new concepts in Sweden. What is required to work with set based concurrent engineering in a successful manner? Is it possible to identify important factors when developing products using SBCE in companies? A literature study which resulted in a list with five potentially important factors when developing products using SBCE was created before a qualitative study was conducted at five companies. Semi structured interviews were conducted at Husqvarna, Saab, Furhoffs, Ericsson Radio and GKN Aerospace to gather data for an analysis. In the analysis, comparisons were made between the companies’ way of developing products with the list that was created in the end of the literature study. A conclusion of the study was a number of important factors when developing products using SBCE could be: Wide solution space, Knowledge based screening of concepts, Recycling of knowledge, Technically competent project management, Cross functional teams. The study also showed that an investment in the right type of leadership could potentially be an important factor when implementing SBCE since the company management need to understand the working model if SBCE is going to have a positive effect.

Toyota has developed and uses a product development model considered extremely competitive, which helped make it the largest automobile manufacturer in the world. This model is called Lean Development and is a worldwide reference. The model uses lean concepts, derived from Lean Thinking, in the product development process. Studies in international scope are being conducted in order to characterize, evaluate and apply this model in other companies, either automotive market or others different markets. This Thesis presents the results obtained by a survey carried out in manufacturing companies located at Brazil. The population was defined like innovative companies with product development area in the investigated site and with Lean Manufacturing applied for at leats five years. It is presented a descriptive analysis of the companies analyzed and a factorial analysis, which reduces the research variables in four contextual factors of Lean Development. A cluster analysis of the factors identified by the factorial analysis was performed and four groups of companies were founded. The groups were classified in relation to the product development process, according to literature. The results show that 38.2% of surveyed sample applies lean concepts (principles and tools) in both production system and product development process and approximately a half of surveyed sample (46.9%) applies only lean principles in production system, but does not migrate these principles to product development process. However, these last companies are the ones with the best results in product development.
