Les analyses transcriptomiques contribuent à la compréhension des fonctions du génome des organismes non modèles comme les conifères, qui ont une importance économique et écologique au Canada. La majorité des études transcriptomiques sur les conifères ont abordé des questions biologiques spécifiques, en se penchant tout particulièrement sur les gènes différentiellement exprimés entre les stades de développement et les conditions biologiques. Ces études sont faites à partir d’un nombre limité de tissus. Notre étude avait des objectifs plus fondamentaux qui étaient d’étudier la structure, la dynamique et l’évolution du transcriptome chez les conifères. Nous avons mené deux études d’expression pour comparer différents tissus (études sur plusieurs tissus), une dont le but était de comparer des espèces et une autre pour analyser la variation temporelle de l’expression de gènes d’un type de tissu au cours d’une saison de croissance. Les données d’expression ont été générées grâce à la méthode d’hybridation utilisant des puces à ADN. Nous avons construit la première puce à oligonucléotide pour les conifères. Comparée aux puces à ADNc utilisées dans d’autres études, notre puce a une plus large couverture du génome avec près de 24 000 gènes de l’épinette blanche (Picea glauca [Moench] Voss.). L’analyse sur plusieurs espèces a montré la conservation des profils d’expression préférentiels aux tissus vasculaires entre des espèces d’épinettes. Nous avons créé la première base de données d’expression tissulaire chez les conifères. Cette base de données, appelée PiceaGenExpress, est issue d’une analyse sur plusieurs tissus qui se base sur des données semi-quantitatives. Pour une autre étude sur plusieurs tissus, nous avons analysé des données quantitatives. Ces analyses ont permis de mettre en évidence l’organisation modulaire du transcriptome et de construire un réseau transcriptionnel du xylème. Dans ce réseau, PgNAC-7 est le gène le mieux connecté et préférentiellement exprimé pendant la formation du bois initial, indiquant ainsi son rôle variable dans le temps. Nos résultats constituent une base des connaissances qui permettent des études sur des sujets indépendants par d’autres auteurs. Nos découvertes sont aussi une base pour le développement de marqueurs pour la sélection génétique des conifères dans une perspective de conservation et d’amélioration. / Transcriptome analyses contribute to the understanding of genome function in non-model organisms such as conifers trees, which are of economic and ecological importance in Canada. Most transcriptome profiling experiments in conifers have addressed specific biological questions, focusing on differential expressed genes between developmental stages or biological conditions and have analysed only a few different tissue types at a time. Our study had more fundamental goals which were to investigate transcriptome structure, dynamics and evolution in conifers. We conducted two gene expression studies comparing different tissues (multi-tissue analysis), as well as an analysis comparing species and another that monitored changes over the course of a growth season within a tissue type. Expression data were generated from microarray hybridizations. We developed the first oligonucleotide microarray in conifers. Compared to the cDNA-based microarrays used in previous studies, it has broader genome coverage with about 24 000 white spruce (Picea glauca [Moench] Voss.) genes. Analysis across species revealed the conservation of vascular tissue preferential expression patterns between spruce species. We built the first gene expression database of tissues in conifers. This database, called PiceaGenExpress, comes from a multi-tissue analysis based on semi-quantitative data. A separate multi-tissue analysis used quantitative data, highlighted the modular organization of transcriptome and, lead to the construction of a xylem transcriptional network. The gene PgNAC-7 was the most connected gene in the network and was preferentially expressed during earlywood formation indicating that its role is temporally variable. Ours results represent a knowledge foundation which has enabled research on several independent topics by other researchers. Our findings are also a basis for the development of genetic selection markers for conifer tree breeding and conservation.

This thesis is focused on the design and realisation of inertial navigation unit INS. The unit is capable to measure, store and send data to a PC in real-time for a later offline processing. The first part of the thesis introduces the reader with the basic principles of accelerometers, gyroscopes and MEMS sensors. An introduction to coordinate systems and measuring errors is also included. The second and third part of the thesis deals with the analysis of the solution and the implementation of the INS unit. The fourth part of the document is dedicated to the software for the INS unit. This thesis concludes with explanation how the gathered data are processed.

The Speedy Delivery (SD) waveform was introduced in patent US 6,441,695 B1 issued August 27, 2002 to the inventor Dr. Robert Flake. In the most basic form, the SD boundary condition is an exponential, D⋅e [superscript α⋅t] . The propagating waveform is described by an analytic, closed form solution of the wave equation in lossy media and has several very special properties. The most surprising property is that the leading edge of the waveform propagates with attenuation but without distortion. The lack of distortion occurs even in lossy transmission media with frequency dependent parameters. This is unlike any other known pulse shape. Additionally, varying the waveforms parameter, α, can vary the propagation velocity and the attenuation of the waveform. Because the exponential waveform is unbounded it cannot continue indefinitely and must be truncated and closed by a non-SD closing edge. This dissertation discusses the transmission behavior and two applications of truncated SD waveforms. A brief analysis of SD propagation in lossy transmission lines is presented and some practical considerations associated with truncating the SD waveforms are addressed. The parameters needed to describe the propagation of the SD waveform are defined and techniques for determining their values are presented. Finally, examples applying these truncated SD waveforms to time domain reflectometry and Communication Technology are presented. / text

Today’s modern technology allows not only receive digital data from sensors, but also to consistently monitor it, maintain the desired data storing period and use it for climate control management. Indoor climate data monitoring devices were used for this work. Electronics Bachelor thesis topic is – “Indoor microclimate data logger”. The main task of the work is – to design and manufacture this model device. Following similar projects and technology reviews this device operating principle was chosen: electronic, digital sensors are used to collect information about weather condition; memory card is used to register parameters; real-time monitoring is done using internet, all data appears in Web page by Ethernet support.

He is a ALS codes status of locomotive capture and the conjoin with GPS data to record to SD memory. The device reads the status codes for an ALS from the ALS indicator of photo sensor. The device is designed using the company's GlobalSat GPS module ET-212 and the "Microchip" PIC18F4520 microcontroller, which communicate with each other through the UART interface NMEA0183 protocol. Equipped with a standard SD memory port, the device is suitable for any manufacturer of SD memory. Printed circuit boards designed with Cadsoft "'s EAGLE 5.11.0 software, and the microcontroller software is written MikroC pro 3.8v compiler. This device is designed for locomotives ALS status code and data storage can be used in the locomotives equipped with the ALS (KLUB) system.

The debate surrounding the opinion polls of the political party Sverigedemokraterna, and later their results in the Swedish election has been evident. The purpose of the study is to investigate how norms of equal treatment in social work practice might be influenced by Sverigedemokraterna's understanding of culture, ethnicity, nationality and religion. The thesis is outlined through the works of Teun van Dijk and Ruth Wodak (2000) regarding racist discourse in politics, Giorel Curran (2004) explaining lesser established parties influence on the broader discourses and Anders Hellström and Tom Nilsson (2010) attempting to ideologically position Sverigedemokraterna. With the method for analyzing policy documents designed by Carol Bacchi (2009) the latest motions from Sverigedemokraterna has been analyzed. Bacchi’s theoretical framework, together with theory concerning the expression of modern racism of John Hodge (1999), Paul Gilroy (1999) and Bennedict Anderson (1996) amongst others has been used to create an understanding of the material. The study shows the existence of understandings within the party of cultures as separate and absolute differentiated from each other, coinciding with research on the matter of racism. Hierarchies amongst cultures defined by place of birth are created through the motions. Ideas of a Swedish culture is portrayed as more developed and superior culture. People's different rights of wellfare are made sense of through arguments of birthplace and embodiment of what the party defines as Swedish culture. / Debatten om partiet Sverigedemokraternas opinionssiffror, och senare valresultat har varit påtaglig. Studiens syfte är att genom analys av Sverigedemokraternas resonemang kring kultur, nationalitet, religion och etnicitet förstå hur normer i det sociala arbetet om likabehandling kan komma att påverkas av dessa sverigedemokratiska resonemang. Med utgångspunkt i Teun van Dijk och Ruth Wodaks (2000) forskning om rasistiska diskurser i politiken, Giorel Currans (2004) studie om mindre partiers påverkan på de politiska diskurserna och Anders Hellström och Tom Nilssons (2010) ideologiska positionering av Sverigedemokraterna har uppsatsens syfte utformats. Hierarkier av kulturer kopplade till födelseplats utformas i resonemangen förda i motionerna, där idéer om en svensk kultur framställs som utvecklad och överlägsen. Människors rätt till välfärd sorteras i de sverigedemokratiska resonemangen efter födelseplats, och förkroppsligande av en av partiet definierad svensk kultur.

A pesquisa de cunho qualitativo foi conduzida sob a abordagem histórico-cultural, tendo o estudo de caso como proposta. Essas opções ancoram-se no nosso entendimento de que as AH/SD são condições construídas pela via da interação de fatores biológicos com as experiências mediadas com o/no mundo. Destacamos a utilização do grupo focal como técnica de coleta de dados para realização desta investigação. Os sujeitos envolvidos foram os dez professores de Educação Especial que atuavam no atendimento educacional especializado para AH/SD, nas salas de recursos, localizadas em municípios da Grande Vitória. A discussão do grupo focal foi analisada em dois momentos, quais sejam, as narrativas produzidas pelos professores que participaram da primeira reunião do grupo focal e depois incluindo os participantes da primeira e segunda reunião do grupo.Sendo assim, tivemos no primeiro encontro oito participantes e no segundo sete. A análise dos dados coletados em duas reuniões do grupo focal foi realizada à luz da perspectiva da Teoria da subjetividade de Gonzalez Rey (2005). A análise aponta a influência direta das percepções dos professores quanto às suas concepções de AH/SD em relação ao atendimento educacional especializado na área, bem como no processo de identificação que foi subjetivamente percebido nas discussões do grupo focal. Foi percebido que, pela não consistência teórica quanto à concepção das AH/SD, a identificação do aluno ou aluna com indícios dessa condição é confusa. A análise sugere a necessidade de um aprofundamento e consenso teórico acerca da área das Altas Habilidades/Superdotação – AH/SD –, como ponto principal para a visibilidade da temática. / The research aimed to analyze the conceptions of high abilities/giftedness under the perspective of the special education teachers who work in the quoted area through their narratives, as well as, the imbrications of these conceptions in the identification of students with evidences of such condition. For the development of the work, we searched via bibliographical review contextualize the theme high abilities/giftedness . The research of qualitative nature was conducted under the contribution of the historical-cultural approach, having the case study as the proposal. These options anchor in our understanding that the high abilities/giftedness are conditions built up via interaction of biological factors with the experiences mediated with the/in the world. We have highlighted the usage of the focal group as a data collection technique to perform this investigation. The subjects involved were the ten Special Education teachers who worked in the specialized educational assistance for high abilities/giftedness , in the resource room, situated in municipalities of Grande Vitória. The discussion of the focal group was analyzed in two moments, namely the narratives produced by the teachers who participated of the first meeting of the focal group and later, with the inclusion of the participants of the first and second meeting of the group. Therefore, there were eight participants in the first meeting and seven in the second one. The analysis of the collected data in two meetings of the focal group was done according to the perspective of Gonzalez Rey‟s Subjectivity Theory (2005). The analysis points out the direct influence of the teachers‟ perceptions concerning their high abilities/giftedness conceptions regarding the specialized educational assistance in the area, as well as in the identification process that was subjectively perceived in the discussions of the focal group. It was perceived that, for the non theoretical consistence concerning the conception of the high abilities/giftedness , the identification of the student with evidences of this condition is confused. The analysis suggests the necessity of a deepening and theoretical consensus about the high abilities/giftedness area, especially, among the teachers of the area, as the main point for the visibility of the theme.

This thesis deals with the design and subsequent realization of laser diode control devices. The circuit will be able to control the diode with using a laser driver, via a computer network or via the display for control current values, setting of initial values and more. The device will be connected also with a SD card for saving of settings. In the theoretical part there are described individual components that are needed for functionality of the device. The practical part contains a block diagram, in which is described complete feature of the device, then a draft scheme with a description of all integrated circuits and important components. At the end of this work is described the software that controls the entire designed device.

The task of this master´s thesis is to write a theory of radiation sensing, describe the function of GPS and design the measuring system which can measure the radioactive background and these values assigned to the current GPS coordinates.

The work deals with the 32-bit microcontroller with AT91SAM7X256 ARM7 core. The overall purpose of the thesis is to use the microcontroller as a data logger in Orpheus robotic system. The main part of the work focuses on detailed description of the designed board, software and development environment. A comparison of different varieties of the microcontroller with this core is included.
