Diploma thesis describes Six Sigma methods and defines their application in manufacturing production. Study also analyze specific issue in manufacturing production and provide solutions.

This work deals with methods of lean six sigma methodology which are relate to industrial processes optimalization problems. Part of this work is devoted to progress optimalization solving by the help of DMAIC model and conection with six sigma and TOC. Main attention is set on using DMAIC model on data from technological line - Cobalt by Motorola.

Thesis describes application of Six Sigma method including DMAIC cycle in Zebra Technologies CZ s.r.o. Goal is to decrease number of defect products bouncing back into repair center along with material cost optimization. Prologue describes Six sigma principles and each individual step of DMAIC cycle. Next phase defines objective and scope, process mapping is part of Measure section. Further data analysis gives a definition to defect root cause. Project outcome are precautions proposals that lead to process quality improvement and cost optimization.

Metodologie Six Sigma se dnes používá v mnoha firmách a společnostech ke zlepšování kvality procesů a výrobků. Využívá k tomu různé statistické nástroje a jedním z hlavních je lineární regrese. Cílem této práce je stručný popis metodologie Six Sigma. V dalším kroku pak pomocí lineární regrese ale i jiných statistických nástojů eliminovat jednu výrobní operaci v konkrétním technickém procesu.

Literature available on Honegger’s Cello Concerto suggests this concerto is often considered as a composition that resonates with Les Six traditions. While reflecting currents of Les Six, the Cello Concerto also features departures from Erik Satie’s and Jean Cocteau’s ideal for French composers to return to simplicity. Both characteristics of and departures from Les Six examined in this concerto include metric organization, thematic and rhythmic development, melodic wedge shapes, contrapuntal techniques, simplicity in orchestration, diatonicism, the use of humor, jazz influences, and other unique performance techniques.

The Focus of this mixed method research was the implementation of lean six sigma principles to improve productivity of outpatients’ programs where each case requires multiple scheduling, multiple visits to patients’ homes and multiple visits to the health department. The site is the Peoria City/County Health Department (PCCHD). The PCCHD is the delegate agency for Illinois Department of Public Health Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program (EH). They are also a recipient of the Federal Lead-Based Paint Hazard Control (LHC) program from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). In line with their mission, they sought opportunities to review and streamline their lead abatement programs to improve productivity and effectiveness of service value offered to their recipients. This research analyzed the current state of lead abatement efforts in Peoria County and used lean six sigma methodologies to identify quantifiable opportunities to improve the effectiveness of PCCHD’s lead abatement efforts. Results show that through the use of lean six sigma methods, the lead time of the PCCHD lead abatement program Lead-Based Paint Hazard Control from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) was reduced by 30%. Secondly opportunities to eliminate duplication and omission of activities between lead abatement programs were identified and recommended. This research confirms that lean six sigma methods can also be applied successfully to more complex programs such as the lead abatement programs that require multiple scheduling, multiple visits to patients’ homes and multiple visits to the health department
