In this study we research sacral spaces of Lithuanian villages, from pagan places of worship to sacral spaces of nowadays confessions. The work is done according to chosen methods of analysis. Main target of this study is to research sacral structures settled in the turn of history, their composition units, epitomize compositional links and interconnection elements. Object boundaries, analyzed in the work, are defined physically, as appreciable bodies. The concept “space”, in different theories is interpreted as infinite entity or environment, which needs structure to exist. Particular confession’s sacral space harmony is influenced by symbolism, which shows up as a long-lasting tradition. The object, analyzed as constituent part of urbanism structures, existed from its early times, and created compositional models with public spaces of villages with other typology. Traditionally perceptible sacral objects stimulate images and symbolic expressions witch shows up as a long-term tradition.

The diploma thesis is the proposal of the pilgrimage church with the addition of the second functional unit as the pilgrimage area near to the stream „Svatá voda – Kaménka“. The proposal claims to raise former pilgrimage area and natural element, and also to provide spiritual and psychological support to pilgrims/visitors. For that reason, there are provided residential programs in the area. The building program corresponds to demanding enter and capacity. Capacity of the church is up to 250 people, in the main liturgical space on the ground floor. The growth is possible on the gallery on the second and third floor. Areal also including restaurant, lecture hall and spiritual centre. That works on a spiritual stay program for singles or couples. There is also a meditation garden and parking lot aloof.

The subject of this diploma thesis is the design of a study of a sacral object - the Church of the Descent of the Holy Spirit in Brno, Líšeň. The church building is complemented by a spiritual center. The construction program is limited to the following: the church building, with its facilities - parking spaces, rehearsal room, flower preparation room, sale of small items with a rest area; main nave of the church, choir, space for children with parents, chapel; background of the sacristy - confessional, parish office, sacristy, depositary. Another part of the building program are the premises of the spiritual center: reception, foundation offices with archives, conference room, Sunday school classroom, multifunctional hall, club room, 3 apartments with a separate chapel. Everything is complemented by technical and hygienic facilities. The design is extended by relaxation areas in the vicinity, which expand the portfolio of civic amenities in the area. The design includes both sacral and profane functions. The spiritual center is therefore of a multifunctional nature and offers stimuli both for the Salesian community and for the local inhabitants of the adjacent settlement. Their meeting center is Kostelní náměstí, which meets in the axes of the two main directions of arrival from Horníkova Street and from the Salesian Youth Center. The foreground with seating and sale of small items serves the general public, which can continue to use the multifunctional hall for concerts, lectures, exhibitions. The premises of the clubhouse, classroom and the Parish Atrium will be used for educational and other activities for children, their parents and grandparents and other social groups. The spiritual center also enables the official activities of the foundation with the possibility of using the surrounding facilities. The diploma thesis contains a brief overview of the historical development of the Holy Spirit Cathedral in Hradec Králové. In a rough outline discusses the historical, religious and cultural wealth created by several generations of our ancestors over the course of seven centuries. The diploma thesis contains a proposal of an educational program in the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit. The program is designed primarily for secondary school students. Considering the uniqueness of the place and its rich potential is there mentioned not only the uniqueness the history and architecture, but also the work of some important personalities of local social and religious life. An integral part of the educational program is the brief history of the church, its development and hierarchy. The contribution of Christianity to the education of the nation is not forgotten either. In this context the program leads to a closer knowledge of the cathedral and the life around it, and helps students overcome prejudices against Christianity ant the Church. The chapel of the former boromeian closter in Teplice is an important example of the work of monastery art school of benedictins of Beuron. The closter, today the building of the high school of Teplice, was built on the place of former city walls, connected by a prestigeous bouleward with the city center. Today, the building is surrounded by a non-valuable buildings, the bouleward is full of transport during the whole day and near is a highway. The old architectural structure was mainly destroyed and replaced by block of flats made of concrete. The topic ic getting the life back into the building and connect the building back into the public space, to join the "public=city" with the "private=school". The topic is to gain back the dignity and certain monumentality. The topic is to create the space for school activities, workschops, meetings, exhibitions, happenings, and last, but not least, weddings. The high school students should be the future intelectual elity of the space and newly reconstructed space may has the power to reinforce their linkage with the place, which can possibly mean they will search for a job in Teplice after their university studies. I belive, that the architecture has the power to attach the people to the space and to establish the genius loci. And such an opening of the space deserve the gymnasium and the chapel (which is not known to the public in Teplice) 20 years after the Velvet revolution, which itselves, was an opening of the space on the level of politics.
