Costos de la calidad de servicio al cliente para mejorar la rentabilidad en el Sauna Buena Vida EIRL, Chiclayo 2016

Fernández Heredia, Gianela Paola January 2017 (has links)

Termální lázně Yverdon, pět smyslů v architektuře / Thermal baths Yverdon, five senses in architecture

Šešulková, Miroslava January 2015 (has links)
The design of my proposal was deeply influenced by the typical character of spa pavillions in urban recreational parks. Neveertheless i combine such a character with contemporary more conceptual way of architecture. With maybe bigger scale, but having reasons for that. Into the center of park i place a house of baths, where all the activities typical for paths take action - massages, rehabilitation, swimming and wellness. Other parts of the project such as two new proposed buildings for a hotel have the same character of a pavillion in a park. Their interdependant relationships creates new story in a city.

A Comparison of the Vascular Response to Acute Sauna Heating in Young and Middle-Aged Adults

Leach, Olivia Kathryn 06 April 2023 (has links)
BACKGROUND: Age-related declines in endothelial function have been well documented with larger declines observed in middle-aged. Passive heat exposure has been shown to be a promising method to improve vascular endothelial health, with sauna specifically being linked to reduced risk of cardiovascular disease. Increases in blood flow and shear rates associated with heat exposure are often considered to have a major influence on the observed improved endothelial function following heat exposure. The magnitude of these changes in response to sauna have not yet been defined. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to quantify and compare the vascular response to an acute bout of sauna heating in young and middle-aged individuals. METHODS: 10 young (24.9 ± 4.2 years, 6 males and 4 females) and 8 middle-aged adults (55.6 ± 3.9 years 4 males and 4 females) underwent 40 min of sauna exposure at 80 oC. Esophageal and intramuscular temperatures were recorded throughout the duration of the experiment. Brachial and superficial femoral artery blood flow, artery diameter, and shear rates were recorded at baseline and following heat exposure. Brachial artery flow-mediated dilation (FMD) was measured at baseline and following 90 min of recovery. RESULTS: Core and muscle temperatures significantly increased by 1.5 ± 0.53 and 1.95 ± 0.70 °C, respectively (P < 0.05) and the magnitude of increase did not differ between young and middle-aged participants (P0.867 and 0.488, respectively). Shear rate increased by 170– 200% (P < 0.001), while blood flow increased by 180–390% (P < 0.001) in the superficial femoral and brachial artery, respectively, in both groups. Importantly, the changes in shear and flow did not significantly differ between young and middle-aged subjects for either artery (P = 0.190–0.899.) Systolic blood pressure (SBP) was significantly reduced from 135.25 ± 17.50 to 122.38 ± 19.7 mmHg (P = 0.017) only in middle-aged participants and a decrease in diastolic blood pressure was observed from 81.6 ± 13.0 mmHg at baseline to 69.8 ± 8.4 mmHg (P < .001). Heat-induced dilation was strongly correlated to baseline endothelial function in the young (R = 0.86, P = 0.006), but not the old (R = 0.22, P = 0.631). CONCLUSIONS: These results indicate that young and middle-aged adults have similar shear-rate and blood flow responses to acute sauna heating, which significantly reduces blood pressure in middle-aged, but not young individuals. Future heat therapy studies may elicit meaningful cardiovascular benefits from lower magnitudes of chronic passive heat stress.

Hötorget Rooftop Hälsocenter & Restaurang - en takpotential / Hötorget Rooftop Health Centre & Restaurant - a roof potential

Al Ghifary, Haider January 2018 (has links)
En studie i undersökningen av takpotentialen på Hötorgshuset 5 i Stockholm. / An investigation of a rooftop potential of Hötorget Building 5 in Stockholm. This project proposes a program on floor 17, 18 and 19 (rooftop level) of the high-rise building containing a restaurant and a health centre with fitness facilities, group training and hamam-inspired steam sauna. The challenges have been to fit in a program in a space traditionally meant only for office use. The aim has been to provide a business that is useful for the place but at the same time provide architectural qualities by structural alterations to make vertical spaces with skylight, maximizing sightlines, keeping constant access to the façade and thereby access to the view outside. Other aims have been to create a brand and identity by adding an oriental hamam-theme into the project. Lastly the project intended to catch the “natural qualities” that are offered by a place of this height by giving access to the roof-top and letting the visitor experience the open sky and the city panorama throughout the year.

Vliv saunování na změny krevního tlaku / The effect of sauna on the changes of blood pressure

Benko, Michal January 2015 (has links)
Title: The effect of sauna on the changes of blood pressure Objectives: The aim of this study was the measure of the physiological range (blood pressure, heart rate, blood oxygen saturation) of two selected groups of people within the sauna cycle, assess changes and compare the results of individual probands and groups. Methods: This thesis is conducted as an experimental study. This is a quantitative method, in that will be at first established hypotheses and then evaluated on the basis of the obtained results. The independent variable in this research is the sauna and dependent variables are blood pressure, heart rate and blood oxygen saturation. Results: Blood pressure values were at employee of sauna lower than at other probands, thereby was confirmed hypothesis, but expected significant differences between the measured values of each group were absent. At the same time there was a further confirmation of the hypothesis concerning heart rate, which was increased at all probands. The last confirmed hypothesis related to the blood oxygen saturation and its reduce after the sauna. It could be said that all the defined hypotheses were confirmed. Keywords: sauna, blood pressure, heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, cardiovascular system

Vliv sauny na svalové napětí po fyzické zátěži / Effect of sauna om muscle tone after physical excercise

Dastych, Petr January 2011 (has links)
Title: Effect of sauna on muscle tone after physical excersise Topic definition: This thesis presents a pilot theoretical - empirical two-factor experiment, where the main subject of the experiment is to evaluate the effect of sauna on increased muscle tension after sport and its potential for use in physical therapy and recovery. Aim of the thesis: To provide a summary of theoretical knowledge related to the subject and to assess the impact of sauna usage on muscle tension occurred after short term maximal anaerobic excercise and compare it with passive rest. Methods: This thesis will be processed at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport on 6 individuals, who will be randomly divided into two equally large groups. The first three-person group will be a research one, the second three-member group will be the control group. Afterwards they will be subjected to a Wingate stress test. The experimental group will participate in sauna treatments and the control group in passive rest. Muscle tension will be measured before the load, after the load, and after the sauna / passive rest. Measurements will take place in a kinesiology lab at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports. Measurements will be done by using a myotonometer and the data will be gathered via an analogue-digital converter and...
