This thesis analyses reading lists composed by secondary schools in school year 2016/2017 for the purposes of common general part of maturity exam - oral exam from Czech language and literature. The thesis creates basic material for exploring the form and development of state maturity exam. Reading lists are put into context with literary theoretic conception of canon as the thesis touches upon literary science, pedagogy and didactics. The thesis proceeds from general analysis of literary canon to functions and forms of canon (school canon and maturity exam canon). Then it concentrates on documents, which were available to students taking the maturity exam. The thesis carries out research on collection of 461 secondary schools that offer studies completed by maturity exam. It is followed by presentation of obtained data, verification of its correspondence to binding criteria defined in Katalog požadavků zkoušek společné části maturitní zkoušky (document specifying requirements for common general part of maturity exam) and comparison of obtained data with available sources from school and literary background. This Master's thesis examines options to advance reading literacy in schools with alternative education. Thesis is focused on teachers work and used methods. The aim of the thesis was to determine, how schools using alternative educational programs support the reading literacy. Theoretical part explores reading literacy, characteristics of alternative educational programs and schools -Montessori, Waldorf, Dalton and program Step by Step. It specifies RWCT - reading and writing to critical thinking program and method of advancement reading literacy and reading. The practical part evaluates surveys filled by teachers from alternative schools and teachers using alternative educational programs. Survey is focused on teacher's job, utilization of RWCT method in schools, working with reading literacy and support of reading.

<p style="text-align: justify;">U radu se, primenom feminističke književne kritike, analiziraju rodni stereotipi u svih četrnaest romana iz lektire za drugi ciklus obrazovanja. Pokazuje se da su rodni stereotipi prisutni u različitim aspektima ovih romana, kao što su zastupljenost i konstrukcija likova, sadržaj i način oblikovanja priče. Takođe, predstavljaju se metodički modeli nastavnih interpretacija ovih romana, koji uvažavaju rodnu perspektivu. Primena ovih modela omogućava da učenice i učenici prepoznaju rodne stereotipe, razumeju njihovu funkciju i zauzmu kritički odnos prema njima.</p> / <p style="text-align: justify;">The dissertation analyzes gender stereotypes by applying feminist literary criticism in all fourteen novels included in the second cycle of the primary education curriculum. It is indicated that gender stereotypes are present in various aspects of the novels, such as characters’ presence and construction, content and method of creating stories. Furthermore, the methodical models of educational interpretations of these novels, which respect the gender perspective, are also presented. The application of these models allows pupils to recognize gender stereotypes, understand their function and take a critical attitude towards them.</p>

The goal of this Master's thesis was to support the development of the practice of reading and literacy especially of students of the lower primary school by my own and verified methods. I have observed the development of the children's relationship to reading and their reading skill as long as there was focus on reading and further activity with poems in class in lower primary school. I have also observed the extent, to which is reading of poems and activities related to it supported by reading books, how students work with the text and what they learn by this work. My thesis has among other activities focused on the necessity and contribution of children's recital a dramatization of poetry. I have worked with children from 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5thgrades of elementary school and also from the 1st grade of 8-year high school, within the scope of literature class, a so-called reading class, within the scope of literary - dramatical branch of art elementary school and drama in education. On the basis of this thesis I can state that working with poetry has significance for a discovery or an establishment of a relationship to reading and understanding of a text for students of the afore mentioned classes. It focuses on both the mapping of didactical literature that is available in the Czech environment, and on how to work with the "reading experience" during the Czech language and literature classes. Primarily, the thesis focuses on education in the sixth grade of primary schools.
